Question About Body Fat And Hormones!

I was wondering how long on hormones until you notice the body fat changed to more female places?

I am 20 years old, 164 cm tall.

My hormone history is a bit disjointed, started antiandrogens and estrogen about a year and a half ago but stopped estrogens after 3-5 months (not sure how long exactly) and restarted estrogens almost 3 months ago.

I never really had any muscles, right now my mother is stronger than me.

But all my fat seems to be exactly in my mid-section!, not even at the side of the waist, just at the middle, exactly.

Pretty much like it used to be before.

On a side note, I used to weight near 90kg and dropped to about 67 average a bit before starting hrt over a year ago.

Now I am at 61kg but still have most or all of my fat right in the middle, the waist, making it look kinda pregnant and bad with tight shirts.

So I am wondering when I should notice changes, or weight loss is the only way for it to go away? Should there have been any changes already? (there probably have been some at least)

Hi Pale Strawberry,

I have read that it depends on each individual and how we respond to eostrogen. Some of us take a little longer to respond

so dont worry , your changes are on the way. I can tell you this pretty confidently cos I am waiting to begin hrt myself and guess what ???

I am reading every word I can find on the subject to pass the time . Before you know it your figure will develop . regards , Viv.

I was just about to ask this same thing, as i have notice the girls growing a bit, but body fat not migrating. Thanks!

Ok figure this one out, my Dr says I am putting on some weight (ugh) but my slacks are still just as loose as they were 5lb ago. Where has all that new weight gone, some is in the girls but they arent big enough to account for it all.

Number one ....look around....

There are girls with large bellies ...

Hrt is not an end all magic pill...

Also, it takes time for fat to move around on our bodies on HRT ...not in a matter of a few months...

I know a GG who has quite a large beer belly (yes, from drinking beer)...and her natural hormones do nothing for that!

It will happen, but we must take some responsilibilty ourselves...

And I, too have put on a few pounds ..went from 138 to 145 on HRT...I asked my gender doctor about that because my pants still fit the same..

Fat is being added to legs, butt, hips, breasts...you can't see it as of yet because it's so subtle...

I've been on HRT 9 months...

Hrt is, overall, a slow process!

Be patient!

HUGGS!

Hi honey

First of all I have to get something off my chest.

I hate the metric system!

Ok all better now, nothing against you honey. ;)

I do believe you have to work off the existing fat and then your body will add any new fat in the appropriate location.

I never heard of body fat crawling from one place to another.

So perhaps you could work on an exercize program to help it along. ;)
