In your dreams, are you your old self, or your new self? I'm usually my old self, or not paying enough attention to it to know. I think once I was my new self.

More and more often, I am my future self. I still have a few where I'm my current self, but they mostly involve transition in some way. I don't have dreams that often, though. Mostly day dreams.

Hmm... I don't dream that often. I can remember a few where I was just my regular female self, before I realized I was trans (about 12 or 13 years old). But I remember one time, when I wanted to have my hair cornrowed, I dreamed that my hair was cornrowed. And I was wearing hecka nifty clothing, too. This was when I was like 12. That dream was in third person. I was literally watching myself.

I had a dream maybe six months ago where I was female, but I was trying on this really ugly dress and looking at myself in the mirror. Then my family was all "It's time to go!" so I put on a really big raincoat over it and went to the party that we were apparently going to. My extended family was there, and I was trying to have fun, but the raincoat was really puffy and hot, but I couldn't take it off because then they would see I was wearing that ugly dress. Wonder what that means. :P

The last dream I had, about a month ago, I wasn't even in. I was just... watching it. There were two dogs, a cartoon german shepherd, and a cartoon bulldog in the bulldog's office. The german shepherd was trying to sell the bulldog everlasting life. But the bulldog said, "I don't want everlasting life! I want to die eventually!" and then he ran across his office, threw himself down in the middle of it, and was promptly run over by a train. Unlike the previous one I have no idea what the hell it means.

But, uh, yeah. In all the other dreams I can remember I didn't see myself or I was just my current, female self.

I usually don't remember my dreams, but some have really stood out in my mind. Those I usually try to analyse and see if they have a meaning. But more often than not I intuitively know what they mean.

I barely ever remember my dreams... But I do remember once I had a lucid dream. I made myself a girl... then it ended ;.;

I want more lucid dreams.

I've always have had the same woman in my dreams since I could remember. Usually, I'm her, but sometimes, when I'm doubting myself or my inner woman, she'll be present, either really, really mad at me or just upset.

However, usually these dreams make no sense. The other night, three-inch versions of MacGyver, Tom Cruise and Darth Vader we all arguing the best way to get me off of my bookshelf.

A few weeks ago, I had a dream I was standing in Yellowstone, in a herd of bison. Some of them moved away, and there was a blue bison eating grass. He looked up at me, and said, "I am the sign you are looking for." I instantly knew he was talking about me being transgendered.

But I still have no idea what the blue bison meant.

i'm my current male self in my dreams, but i have wicked dreams that make no sense at all, like darth vader and voldemort having a conversation at the bottom of a swimmingpool while a rainbowcolored killerfish wash showing of his muscles to lots of people in black cloaks. Others are like bruce willis trying to kill me in his ferrari while i am running towards a time machine to get rid of the virus in me, and at the end my family who appear to be the incredibles were waiting for me. i also dream of donald duck and his 3 cousins also about harry potter who works together with malfoy, about little red ridnig hood, but also about non existent stories ^_^'...

anyway i'm mostly there myself as male, but sometimes i see everythnig third person, and i'm not anywhere to be seen, but often i'm someone else in my dream male or female, doesn't matter, but i switch between them al the time, often looking true the eyes of many diffrent people in the same dream...

my friends are jealous of my creative dreams ^^

Ya know, as I think about it more, I realize that when I DO dream I am just... Me. I don't really even concern myself about what I am wearing in the dreams at all. Its just seen from my eyes and I don't even begin to think about what sex I am... Unless, like last night, that is the subject of the dream. I was dreaming that I was coming out to my family... While I was wearing feminine clothes. <.<; I know I had that dream because coming out is on my mind constantly now.

I have really messed up dreams. Kind of like if Alice in Wounderland and PeeWee's Play House get blended togeather while on Acid. but i wont get in to those ones!

The frist dream I can ever remember having was when I was 5, and I was already dreaming I was boy! I was being chased down a hallway made of bones by two people dressed as Tucan Sam. Once I got out of the hall way I was a Pirate on a ship in the middle of battle trying to save some girl... I have alot od dreams like that.

I turned into a boy in a dream I had when I was a little kid, but I don't really know if that was transgender related. Mostly, my dreams are disgustingly grounded in reality. I am always female, in in some dreams I'll think "Gee, I'm transsexual, that sucks" but I'm never male. I did have a dream where I had no breasts recently. That's about as close as I get.

What's with the abundance of Lord Voldemort dreams? In one of my dreams, he was a vampire, and he had a wife who was a hag, and we had both of them over for dinner, and he kept saying "very good, very good."

Last night I had a dream that I was in a Wal Mart, but there was an GLBT meeting there, and Laura was leading it! People kept introducing me as the new girl and introducing me as 'she'. I even met someone that shared my name. She's like "I'm Michelle" and I said hey me too! That's all I can really remember; I was pretty amused.

that's totally awesome, i wish my dreams made that much sense ^_^ i used to remember most of my dreams, but in the last month or so i haven't remembered/had any :(

in most of my dreams though, i was just...me really. i was basically living as a girl, but still completely biologically male. i don't know if that means anything, maybe it's just reality :(

i never usually 'saw' myself, like i just kind of knew what gender i was. in a few of them i was a girl, in a few i was a boy. i'd always get so annoyed when i woke up and realised i'd just dreamt i was a boy though, i always thought it meant there was something wrong with me.

I am always female in my dreams sadly. I do not believe I have had one dream where I had been male. Also all of my sex dreams are with men even though I like women  I hate dreaming. I don't have nightmares I just have really weird dreams. I once had a dream where I giant goo-eyeball kidnapped my english teacher and her child. Another dream was evil fire-robot things taking over a GLBT party I was at in Germany. I then had to go on an epic quest to stop the evil dictator from turing all my friends into his slaves. It ended with me defeating him and moving in with a hairdresser and the dictators dog in the Czech Republic :D That's a normal dream for me.

I don't dream all that much, and when I do my physical characteristics are allways to blurry for me to remember. Though the other night I dreamt I was a friend of mines wife, I went to the basement to talk to him or something, and he was adding all these hallways to the house. When I asked him what he was doing he said he was going to the moon, I didn't think anything of it and went and washed the dishes or something, and I started getting this weird feeling, so I checked on him again, and there was a huge network of tunnels, so I asked him what he was doing again. He said he was going to the moon in a really weird way, then i started to get scared and ran, I got into the car just as he was about to get me and drove away. I'm not sure how I knew I was his wife though, what I looked like was still to blurry to tell anything :S

I have had about 5 dreams this year (thats in total, not just ones I can remember) . I can remember every detail for a month or so afterwards though. In 2 dreams this year I've been going though transition and in another 2 I've been a girl. My dreams are almost always true to life, no talking animals, fictional characters or anything like that.

Alicia: There is no possible way to tell if you haven't had any more than dreams, or if you just can't remember them. You surely have, because REM is part of the nightly sleep cycle which always occurs unless you don't sleep or have the right kind of brain damage. You don't even know what happens in your bed at night! Bwa ha ha ha ha!

I just had a dream I was living as the opposite sex, but still with this body. Dreams still disgustingly realistic in the oddest ways.

Imaginary person: Yes! We have defeated the fire breathing elephants! We have done well, Adrian.

Me: Yeah, but now I have to empty the dishwasher. Bye.

I have DSPS, delayed sleep phase syndrome, and have been suffering from insomnia for the majority of this year. Thats why I have had almost no dreams this year, otherwise you would be right. Anyway, does anyone here have lucid dreams?

Now that I really think about it, my dreams are majority me being a girl... usually something along the lines of a red short skirt, short feminine hair, and some kind of white top.

Besides that, it does go over like any other people's dream. sometimes it's weird, sometimes, it's reflective, sometimes...well, most of the times i forgot them after a few days.

I did have lucid dreams a lot of times when I was younger. Those were the days where I tried to get myself to sleep as long as I could. ^_^ I remember dreaming up this situation where it's basically like the manga, Ranma 1/2 situation. It was kinda fun and spunky. ^^ I remember feeling very rejuvenated and light-hearted after that dream.

I keep having a dream where I see myself standing in front of a giant mirror and then for some reason I get really mad and smash it. Then I look away for a second and when I turn back the mirror is back to normal but the only thing is that there is a shadow of a person in it thats not me. Then I hear heart wretching crying coming out of nowhere. It confuses me or maybe I just got seven years of bad luck!

I forgot to mention this before, but in one dream this year I was at home, dressed as a girl, when my parents entered. They sat down and I explained about how I am a girl. After this they told me that they had suspected as much, hugged me then left. I remember when I woke up I was so happy because I thought it was real and I had finally told them the night before.

I just had a dream where I was a guy . . I think. I didn't really think about it too much. I did have long green hair though. Apart from that, it was like real life.

You know what's kind of weird? Ever since I've joined these forums, I've noticed that in my dreams I seem to blur in and out, kind of overlapping, like I'm not really either. It's kind of odd.

I had that going on with my last two partners who were 20 years older than me.  One of them looked older for her age as well.  I remember a couple times being in the grocery store a decade ago and having people ask "can I help you ladies with something?" and then I'd turn around with my red beard.  Well before I started transitioning, but my partner knew I was trans back then.   I struggle with this as well.  My music and political career can have a masculine edge to it that I don't like.  It's been really frustrating lately.  I don't like pushing myself on others or telling people what to do.  I've been running a website for 25 years and have virtually never tried to promote it or even look at any analytics.  I don't want to push it on anyone.  I put what I have on it and make it publicly available.  It's part of my production process.  It keeps me sane and if someone else can find it useful, then I'm happy to share.

I'm curious, but then if I am true to myself, I have a hard time being in crowds.  I love hearing great music, but being in an audience is such a turnoff for me that I don't go to concerts or bars.  I'm just very much a producer.  I actually like doing the dishes more than going to concerts because it's an active thing.

My therapist is trying a new tact. I've named my self protection self that ssays not eating or too much exercise because when I starting because oftrauma my protective self started and also at the time the name Shay came to me and is now part of my name.  It's not like having a split personality, just my primative self protection who is always there to help me. My therapist has Shay, me and him working as a team to assure her that I am safe and to start changing her role in my life so I protect me by eating right and exercising to maintain a heathy body. It is helping a little but we just started this a few weeks ago.

Good morning, everyone!!   Yesterday was lawn mower battery day. I've been nursing the battery on my Zero Turn mower for two weeks. It gave up the ghost when I stopped to refuel yesterday so I had to run over to the local shop to get a new one. And forgot my wallet so I had to drive home and back again.   Then, I was using the garden tractor with the bagger to pick up the clippings. I cut about 7 acres so it took me awhile. When I was done, I went to refuel it and, of course, it wouldn't start when I'd finished putting in the gas. I'm hoping it was just some corrosion on the cables - cleaned them up, gave it a quick charge and it started right up. We'll see if it will hold a charge now or turn out like the Zero Turn.   House cleaning day today. And then I'm going to just relax outside for a bit and enjoy one more warm day before our temps drop and rain comes in for the weekend.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!

I attend a medical day-centre in Texas for needed medical services. It's religious oriented, so not gender fluid friendly. I of course dress 100% in female attire yet androgynous to keep both "them happy", and I really don't mind.    I of course am imposed rules that no other participant is bound by. The examples are the allowed size of my backpack, or how many visits per day I can see my Representative payee.  The gender neutral restroom use was a compromise that all off us have agreed to.  Not being able to wear tanks tops or shorts that aren't "Bermuda length" are other examples of where I am restricted more than any other participant. "Bra talk" is strictly forbidden, even though their doctor and occupational therapist were the ones that told me I needed support due to neck pain.    I found myself being reprimanded by staff three times yesterday for very petty details, and they have constantly pushed for me to remove myself from the program voluntarily. I am of course someone not welcomed in the program, but federal discrimination laws prevent them from removing me. They instead are just making life miserable with the hopes that I will leave on my own.
