A Major Compliment Came My Way Today

I am a member of a church I have belonged to for the last six years.

Started going with myself in full female April of 07.I became too sensitive

when being misgendered or just not understood.So nine months ago I quit

attending full time.Get some life experience,(which non trans do not comprehend

the term by the way),thicken up my skin.I go back about every two months

when I am needing a spiritual recharge.Today was one of those that I chose

to attend.And I am sooooo dang glad I did.There is a clinical psychologist

name Nancy,who is 83,and she interviewed me for two Sundays before service

last year sometime.She hadn't seen me in the last nine months.Today after

service at our mixer,she came up and asked if I am post op now.Not being

one to lie or exaggerate something as huge as that in my lifetime,I told her

no not yet."Well you could sure fool me girl.Everything about you says you are."

You know that put a smile on my lips and in my heart.I knew I was changing

noticably,but not that much.(Smiiiiiiiiiillle)

Yes, I know that one all to well. Some people have actually taken offense when I mention. Kudos on the compliment though. Those little victories have a nice way of outshining any setbacks.
