I don't know if this helps (WONDEFUL REPLIES SO FAR!)

I am transitioning - starting age 61. I have three supportive adult children and a grudgingly supportive wife. Like Sally said about Dee Jays comment, no DD's yet!

BUT - Here comes the fun part - I just realized my anniversary date of start of transition was 6 October - that my HRT one year date is 10 December... and I now pass pretty easily!

Oh my - so slow in the making, so fast in the result!!! So hang in there Viv - it works out. We transsexual are such impatient creatures...

Your face reminds me of the Mom of my best friend when I was growing up. She was like a second Mom to me. Sorry for being off topic, it just finally dawned on me of who you reminded me of.

I noticed that myself about myself. I'm quite literally charging ahead as fast as I can. I think of it though as my vain attempt to get it done before my looks start to fade. I guess what I really want is some way to stop the clock before I turn 30. I dread that day so much.

I'm not lookin' at transition the way I once did.

You look at a young girls puberty and there is so much priceless experience involved there.

Something as simple as watchin' and feeling your body change has to be something quite wonderful.

Why would I want to put something like that on fast-foward? Frustration and unreasonable anger rilly served to cloud my judgement.

As far as we all know anyway, you only get one shot at this.

I love the thought of living the last years of my life content with what I've achieved and overcoming my adversity through a peaceful and patient effort.

That is a very good way to look at it, Amie...

I wish that I had the luxury of taking my time...

So, savor every moment, Sweetheart...smell every smell....touch every flower along the way...

But, People like me, Lizzy, Sally are at full steam ahead...I'll be 60 at Christmas time and I need to get a lot done so that I can enjoy what I have left of my real life...

Do I wish I had started it all at 25 years old?

Well, sure I do....

But wishing don't make it real....

Today and the future are what is real!
