Leakage

The other night I was laying in bed and my breasts started aching(they've been doing that alot recently) so I started massaging them. That felt good and took the ache away but I noticed that I had started leaking a clear fluid from both of the, Im just curious as to what that might be and if it is normal at 2.5 or so months on RLE.

That's a normal part of breast development and a small amount of "leakage" will continue as long as you are on HRT (according to my doc).

That is true about the leakage thingy.

I am thirty months in and my breasts almost always ache(i know whine whine whine...grin).

Anyway,I was giving the girls a massage the other night and a big drop of milk exuded from

each breast. No more, just that one big drop. And believe me,I do not want to lactate.

Nothing to worry about Hun! Female hormones induce development of our mammary glands and it is not unusual to develop "growing pains." They can leak from time to time and on occasion make milk---that is what they are designed for after all. The good news is that mammary glands themselves also make estrogen naturally so your body has it's own source of estrogen. While massaging will relieve the aching it also stimulates your mammary glands to "produce."

I heard on the radio early this morning that if your breasts itch (not really the case in this thread but it may go along with aching) to put a cabbage leaf in each cup and that should take the itch away.

Not sure how accurate that is, it's just what I heard. If anyone wants to test that and report back....

I hope that is not something I have to deal with. I can do without that.

hugz,

Amen....

But, I do rub them for relief from the soreness...

I guess that I had better watch out for that!

This topic deeply confuses and worries me. How much do they ache? I hope I'm not going to be in pain all day when I start hrt. If they hurt why are you rubbing them? Is it something that makes the ache go away and if so by making the pain go away does that mean I'd be doing a death march towards lactation? If I ignore the ache will it just go away?

Natalie......

Honey...this whole thread can make one nervous before they ever start HRT....

Honestly....(for me) the pain is minimal and most of the time I'm not even aware of it...I have an "A" size..and I've been on HRT 9 months...

Sometimes its a dull ache ...not bad ...and the rubbing is soothing...

Some GG I've asked (like my wife ) don't ever remember having any pain during their puberty (that's what this is for us)...

And a couple said that they experienced some pain during that time..

Also, I've noticed no lactation or discharge of any kind...

Again, it varies...

One thing that does happen, is that they are much more sensitive and if you accidentally hit them in any way...well, that can hurt a LOT.

I opened a file cabinet drawer into my chest...DANG!

Don't let it all get to you, Hon.....

It's not that bad...

The French bike racers put cabbage leaves in their cycling helmets and that absorbs a lot of their oils and gunk from their scalps..remember shampoo is a banned substance in France..... :D

I'm not implying their is a lot of gunk and oil coming out of your breasts ladies.....sorry....

When I get mine, I'm putting fig leaves over them. Somehow seems more appropriate! ;)

Lizzie, you're solely to blame for the direction this thread is going in. :P

Don't worry about it Hon it's the best pain you'll ever feel. I'm at three years HRT and my girls still ache but from what I understand that happens to all women.

What makes them grow from massage? Do you get like an extra cup size? Really?

You never know what nature will give you until you are in transition.

It is estrogen that makes everything happen. The anti androgens just shut your testosterone

and DHT down,to allow a greater more complete feminizing. So massaging helps the girls along

in their growth, which takes a few years bye the way.

I remember reading that women shouldn't wear a bra 24/7, as it interferes with "mixing of fluids in the breasts", which helps with breast health and development.

So, I guess massaging them would aid this process.

Oh, my, the song "Shake 'em up" just popped into my head.....

Try massaging them with a progesterone based cream if you don't take progesterone as a pill. Be sure to tell your physician when he evaluates your blood test. The cream is available over the counter - I originally found it at whole foods, then ordered it a bit cheaper on the internet, IT IS NOT an illegal hormone and it does not promote secondary female characteristics - so don't use it for that. What it does do - they theorize - is work with the estrogen of HRT to promote more rounded breast development.

Thought I would add this.

I don' like to promote drug usage, but in this case it is enhancement.

I'm kinda curious... I'm an FTM and my chest never really got sore/ached while it was developing - and it's been 6 years... Why is it that MTFs have so much trouble with soreness/aching?

..so if any of you ladies want to try putting a cabbage leaf into your cups and see if that takes the itch away.

p.s. Don't pull a Donna, I heard she used coleslaw. :P

I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!
