I Bought Some New Cloths Last Night

It's been about a month since I've bought any more cloths and I couldn't resist the itch last night when I found a super cute outfit from items on Fredrick's on clearance and a inexpensive pair of shoes. The shoes where a second choice because the ones I really wanted where sold out in my size :( but I still like these shoes too. They should be arriving tomorrow. I just need to find a nice jacket to go with it.

Wow, Natalie, that outfit is gorgeous! If I had a slim figure I would buy that in a minute. I've always wanted to wear a pencil skirt.

The shoes are lovely, but too tall for my taste. You're gonna look fantastic. :) I'm really happy for you, girl.

Can I say sexy? Very nice. Those heels are amazingly high. You should have a great ensemble with the new things. Enjoy!

Kat

They are 5" so yeah I guess I picked form over function, but they look so nice.

Here's the one I had wanted but the largest one in stock is 8 1/2 and sadly while my feet would probably fit length wise my feet are just a little bit too wide. :(

But if anyone is lucky enough to fit an 8 1/2 they are only $18!

Oh my, Natalie!

That outfit is spectacular!

Although my taste runs to peasent skirts and blousy tops, I love that top and skirt! DANG!

And since that's your second skirt like that, you must be satisfied with the first! ( I'd go down in a minute...on the floor!)

I hope that you enjoy it...and remember..a pic wouldn't hurt.....Hee Hee!

Huggs....

I got them today and everything fits good except the shoes. Ironically at size ten they feel a little loose so I might send them back for a 9 1/2.

Here's the shoes and my super curious kitty who was making a mad dash for the chair to leap at my laptop on the counter right as the picture went off. I guess he wanted to push the button.

Photoon2009-10-28at18173.jpg

Here's the vest and one squirmy kitty just before I put him back down after he went for the laptop.

And here is the the outfit. Sorry about the hair, its at that awkward length and it went off before I had time to check if I was in position and smile. The timer is too quick. lol

Natalie,

Wow, you've got a figure. Isn't it great to buy women's clothes and have them fit? You wear them well. I'm jealous.

You go, girl.

Yvonne

Thank you so much for the kind words yvonne. Now if I can just do something about my face.

One of my most fond transition-related daydreams is to design my own clothes.

I've never been big on the dress-up rilly, but I think it would be rilly fun and cool.

This would work well for me too cause I've never rilly followed fashion and clothes can serve as a nice conduit for personal expression.

Thanks Viv. My leg tone is from years of riding my bike around as a kid and in college to get around when I was a poor college student with no car.

I'd love to try my hand at making my own cloths. I think there is a fabric store right down the street from me.

Cute Kitty, Natalie. I've always loved the black and whites.

Thanks Amie

:o Those are WAYY too tall for me! They'd put me at 6'3", which is way too tall. I just came out to one of my friends I who went to high school with me my freshman year, and she told me that she hasn't worn heels that she owned since she was 14 (she's turning 21 in Mar.) for that very reason. She's already six foot and she went to go try on some boots with heels a few weeks ago, and looked like a giant in the store.

They put me at exactly 6' but I can save them for when I'm with a taller crowed. Which isn't all that hard. I will say though I like 4" heels better so I'll probably keep it to 4" or under unless the shoe is so nice that I compulsively buy it. LOL

That outfit is so cute Natalie, totally happy for you. Gosh i love that skirt
Oh my Gawd Natalie! That outfit looks stunning on you. Love those shoes as well.

Thank you very much you two. I'll be happier though once I'm on hrt and my waist shrinks so I don't look like a box anymore. Testosterone makes my body type look fat.

So far I have three pairs of heels, and two wedge sandles.

The other day, on our usuall Saturday shopping trip, I actuallly drove past Goodwill and my wife reached over to feel my forehead to see if I was sick!....LOL

I always make it a point to drive by there and say..."Oh, as long as we're right here, we might as well go in and look around....".....

Window shopping? Strange concept......

There must be SOMETHING in there that I need....

Good morning    We drove about2 ½ hours to go to a different church’s service.  It was very different, but very much the same.  I went there to meet the minister that will be standing with our minister.  As soon as she saw me she treated me by names and gave me a big hug.  A lot more music and fire and brimstone, but still the same church traditions we had since I was a child.  It is a larger congregation than ours.  But still very homey and friendly..  we were welcomed by all.   Busy week! My son and DIL are coming tomorrow.  I haven’t seen them in quite a while.   but now, I have to go to work.     Willow

Emotional courage is the willingness to feel and act on your emotions, even when you're afraid of the outcome. It's about following your heart and intuition, and aligning with your values, instead of choosing what's most convenient or comfortable. Emotional courage can help you: Take action on what you care about, Expand your emotional agility, Make values-based decisions, and Be productive and feel fulfilled.

1983 - Jim Gordon US session drummer Jim Gordon murdered his mother during a psychotic episode. Diagnosed schizophrenic during his 1984 trial, Gordon was sentenced to 16 years-to-life in prison. A Grammy Award winner for co-writing Layla with Eric Clapton, Gordon worked with The Beach Boys, John Lennon, George Harrison Frank Zappa and many other artists..  Jim Gordan also was in Traffic and Derek and The Dominoes and received writers credit for the piano part in "Layla".    1967 - The Doors The Doors 'Light My Fire' was released in the US, where it went on to be No.1 on the singles chart two months later. When The Doors were booked to appear on The Ed Sullivan Show they were asked to change the line "girl, we couldn't get much higher", as the sponsors were uncomfortable with the possible reference to drug-taking. The band agreed to do so, and did a rehearsal using the amended lyrics; however, during the live performance, lead singer Jim Morrison sang the original lyric, after which they were informed they would never appear on the Ed Sullivan show again. I remember being in my mother's yard doing lawn work when I first heard the song when it was first released.   1964 - Ringo Starr During a photo session Ringo Starr was taken ill suffering from tonsillitis and pharyngitis, days before a world tour was about to start. After a last-minute phone call from George Martin, session drummer Jimmy Nichol rushed over to EMI Studios, where he and The Beatles ran through six songs from their tour repertoire in a quick rehearsal. Nichol replaced Ringo and became a Beatle for eleven days. This didn't get much press so I didn't know about it then but learned about it as I researched the group when I played Paul McCartney in a tribute band in my old life. I am much happy now though I miss playing out with a full electric band.

Last I heard, trans men were actually at higher risk of violent assault than trans women, though it was more commonly intimate partner violence. Trans women, on the other hand, were murdered at a higher rate. Unfortunately I can’t find that source atm, but the following source states that, while trans people are four times more likely than cis people to be victims of violent crime, the difference in rates of violence against trans men and trans women is negligible. Actually, looking at the stats cited, trans men are slightly more likely to experience violent crime.    That said, it’s not a competition. We all have it hard in some ways, just not always in the same ways.   https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/ncvs-trans-press-release/

Yep - its a tactic to divide peoples opinions and get people concentrating on issues other than the one that the current government are responsible for. Thing is, we represent 0.01% of the population, so there are really focussing on a non-issue. Its like saying Jimmy Saville, the white middle aged TV presenter was bad, so we need to ban all white middle aged men from TV. Its ridiculous.   Thankfully, the huge majority of the UK public also see these things as non-issues so and with the election coming up, hopefully nothing will change.

They are trying to vote catch in any way they can at the moment. Their views on bringin back in national service are so much of a joke although propaganda will do doubt hook them a few. I suspect the armed forces are cringing. No doubt, in the US, you have a number of similar things going on.   Tracy

Interesting.  But.... doesn't going through this court case fix the reputation aspect by itself?  I mean, all they have to do is print off a copy of the news story/court proceedings.  "Hey look, a judge and jury said it wasn't true."  And since there's no criminal history, it doesn't affect a background check.    As for not getting "any" work...really?  I've known some extremely squirrelly people to get good jobs, including actual molesters/abusers with real history that can be found on a background check.  How possible is it to prove a negative statement such as "I can't get any work" in court?     Perhaps if this person lives in a small town where nobody knows they do drag-queen stuff on the side, being outed could cause issues.  But is that a factor that was considered in this case?  And isn't being outed if you've got a "secret drag queen life" a risk that simply goes along with that activity?  I would be interested to see the  proof of loss the jury received.  Is that usually a public document, or sealed?
