well as you know I came out to my doctor and she is supportive and I am ready to talk to people and begin my transition. Now when I go on hormones what will happen? Can I get some insight from others that have been on them...what will change, what will I feel, will my mind change? please give me some insight on what I will expect.

Thank you

melissa.

A lot of what happens is personal, the amount of breast growth is determined genetically.

You may notice a:

softening of the skin

body and arm hair slowly fading and growth stopping

a gradual redistribution of the fat to more feminine locations

possible an end to male pattern baldness

fuller hair on the head

YMMV on this on, it has nearly clobbered my beard growth

an improvement in attitude

decrease in depression

this list is quite long but that will give you an idea, something else that MIGHT happen is you body could set up some sort of monthly cycle. Its happened to me and it blindsided me since i was told that transwomen dont cycle.

What will you feel Melissa?

First off,a deep calm settles over you, that you are finally starting your journey.

Then this feeling of this is oh-so-rightness,this is the true path for you,it feels sooo Right!

The rest just takes time.

Hugs Girlfriend,

Angie

in terms of breast size, my mother and my sister are pretty big in size, is it possible that I will get to their size as well and how long does it usually take to notice any change in my body at all? I love my gf but is there a possibility that the hormones would change my mind about her? could I start noticing men that way?

Honey..the rule of thumb is that you will end up one cup size smaller than your mother or sister...but don't put your money on it...it varries...

And you'll probably see growth after the first few months and it continues for the next 3-6 years to full effect...so don't be in a rush!

You'll notice your skin getting soft in the first months....

Some have said that they change their orientiention on hormones, but, it was probably there all along....I've been married 30 years to my wife and I still like women and I guess that makes me a lesbian....who cares?.....lol
