Photo's...

I just took a photo of myself, and it made me realise just how masculine I really look. Mighty depressing feeling. Makes me wonder sometimes why I just don't try to live out my time without dealing with these issues.

Then I realise I've tried that, and gotten nowhere.

Then again, I do have another photo showing me when I went out a couple of months ago, and I think I look ok. (the body hair is annoying as hell though)

p.s. Yes, I have never worn make up in my life.

I like your hair in the first pic, it has so much potential, a stylist could do a lot with it. Did it take long to grow it out to that length? Try to put it into a style that will cover your forehead and frame your cheekbones. I'm not an expert but just a suggestion based on things I've read about wigs.

In your second pic I like your nails especially. I bite mine. Your expression is good. And yeah body hair straw inhalers. I nair'd the heck out of my chest the other day for no reason, simply because I hated looking at the body hair.

It's good that you can express yourself in public. I'm way too weak to do that yet. If you don't feel like doing it is worth the trouble anymore, then don't. If the happiness it brings you outweighs the trouble though, then it's worth it.

I feel the same way, but it is all in how you feel in side. You can not deny one part of yourself. I have tried this for years, always coming up with different reasons, but all the time feeling miserable. You must be who you are. This is the only way to be happy.

aww don't feel so depressed about it, a photograph can be very flattering or totally the opposite. most of the time the camera does lie and besides, what you see in your photo will be totally different to what i see in your photo ^_^ i don't think the first one's that bad. but it's quite unflattering anyway, because a shadow is cast below your brow and above your lip. so it's a bad photo anyway :P , it's mostly not your looks.

anyway, things will change with time and hope. please don't be so down over an ugly photo, i'm sure you're a beautiful person ^_^

xx

Yeah, I've seen some unmentionable amount of people in TV shows, and I've seen quite a few who look a lot better in person. :D The camera is biased and lies everytime :D Don't trust it ^^

Thanks everyone.

I usually trust the camera... But that's because I usually am behind the lens!

It has made me think, so it's good in a way. For instance, I realise how badly I need to get my hair done now. I've been growing it for almost 3 years, and it is starting to look rather shabby outside of anything but a bun. I'll have a long talk with a stylist, and thanks for the suggestions Michelle, I'll keep them in mind when I get it done.

@Birdie @Adrianna Danielle    @Willow    Big news today. We're moving to WA. My wife is taking a job and I am most likely losing mine, so it's adventure time. I'm supposed to be a risk-seeker (Aries, ENTP, etc.) but this is hitting every klaxon and alarm in my brain, but it's going to make my wife and kids happy and it will be a place to make new friends as me without the 45 years of binary baggage. There are tech jobs all over Seattle, which we'll be near, and it's a decent State for trans rights (I don't know how it compares to MN, which is a refuge state). So wish us luck! This could be the best thing ever or rocky as hell, who knows!

I know the feeling. I had to replace the dishwasher, fridge, stove. The only other issues that could pop up is the washer and dryer and the microwave oh I forgot the toaster.

That's the hard part of online relationships, they really never get to see the whole you. You either have to create a persona that will carry the day until they get to see you for who you are, or be open and take the risk because it's really easy for them to disconnect because there is little to no bond.   You have to share pictures of your puppy! I am not a dog person, but I can appreciate them in jpg format! My kiddos would love to have a pet, but we're all allergic in some shape or form and my wife and I are like, "no." :D

I'm sorry Birdie! I wished you could move to a non-stressful place.

I love shopping for cars with my imaginary budget lol. A mustang is always fun to drive! Every time I felt down or depressed I drove it and it made me happy!

Well things have actually been really good lately. I got a dog last Friday. I forgot how expensive they are but they are worth it. Now if I can just get him potty trained that would be awesome! He only has one particular spot inside that he likes so I try to watch him carefully. He is part German Shepheard and part Lab. He is very low maintenance. The sad part is that he didn't know what to do with a treat nor did he knew how to play fetch instead my youngest was playing fetch. He is kind of getting used to toys somewhat. I'm no longer expecting a relationship because I tell them what is wrong with me because I don't want them to be surprised about anything and they always ghost me. Oh well.

Even with the court ruling, the problem is that many of the insurance companies continue to have exclusions for everything unrelated to a vaginoplasty. For folks who are transgender females, we still get no protections to ensure we can get electrolysis (other than for genital preparation prior to vaginoplasty), voice/speech therapy or surgery, facial feminization procedures, or body contouring. There are many components that go along with managing our dysphoria. When the government mandates all of these measures, then I will say it was a victory.   I am still worried that all of the progress will be eradicated if the election goes poorly in November.
