I got this letter from the hmm.... I don't know what to call it in english but it's the only place in stockholm where they "investigate" you and then they determine if you will get hormones,surgery etc.

And my appointment is 12 march , that feels like a hundred years from now, most of the guys here seem to be from the states or britain i just wanted to know how long this stuff takes where you are from becuse 3 months dosen't seem like fair to me i mean there aren't so many ppl like me in sweden so what's taking so long.

Well, I can't speak for the waiting lists in Sweden, but here in the UK a three month wait for ANY kind of referal for medical assessment is pretty good! Usually a lot longer unless it is an actual emergency or life threatening. But as far as general referals go, 3-6 months is more of the norm here.

sorry but im just a little angry becuse i don't think 3 months has ever felt so long....

it will feel like ages, but these things take time and three months isn't long to wait for the rest of your life

if you were in the uk and on the nhs, you could end up waiting four years for charing cross gender clinic (that's probably the term you were looking for)

every day it gets a little closer, so enjoy it

Believe me Victor, I know how it feels to wait. I've been waiting almost four months for something important to happen.

Humm lets see pretty soon you will be geting a bit nervous thinking wow I have to see the specialist tomorrow...You have around 12 weeks to research all there is know about who you are...explore your true feelings meditate, relax and enjoy the moment...Concentrate on being comfortable in your skin so when you finally walk into the 'Gender Identity Clinic' in Stockholm the specialist will not only see a young man standing before him but will also feel/sense the maleness that flows from within you! Victor FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT......BE A 'VICTOR' NOT A VICTIM ! Time flies...Before you know it it will be the 12th of March and you're sitting in the clinic's waiting room CONFIDENT AND TRULY COMFORTABLE IN YOUR MALE SKIN...

That would be really hard to wait that long... I just went to my GP last week to get a referral to mental health to be assesed to start testosterone and my appointment is tomorrow. Maybe it's bad that they moved so quick. Although, with our local hospital, that only took a week but if I went to the emergency room and my arm fell off, I'd be waiting for 6 hours.
