Decided To Shop At A Department Store Today

Well sorta, I'm going to Kohls later tonight. They're open till midnight for black friday, so I thought I might get some practice buying some lingerie there since it can pass as a gift for a girlfriend. Thought I might leave the house at 11, and drop by there and browse around. Even I get scared I'll just go to the mens department, and maybe find something there.

Well, if you DO buy something nice, you have to come back and tell us what you bought.....OK?

HUGGS!

Donna Jean

I will, I saw online that got some santa babydolls for sale, so I might get those.

Also I went out with my panties on under my clothes for the first time in public. I only ordered a pizza though and drove up there and got one. Wasn't scary at all.

Good for you, Amy! That should be really fun. I hope you find some lovely things to buy.

I haven't quite gotten the courage to browse through the lingerie section yet, but I did get some inexpensive jewelry items today, and

felt pretty good about that. The salesperson thought I was buying gifts for my S.O. of course. Just knowing they were for me made

it really special. :)

Shopping is soooo much more enjoyable when you're a girl!!

Miss Amy,

I was at Kolh's this morning looking at earrings. Found a few that I liked, but nothing really struck me so I walked out. The holiday season, especially BF, is a great time to buy for yourself. The clerks are so busy they won't even know what you're buying.

Glad that you're ready to go out on a limb, but don't worry about friends finding you in the lingerie section, what red blooded man wouldn't like to look at sexy lingerie.

Buy yourself something nice for Christmas..., then show us.

Love ya, Sina

Hello MrsAmy:

Way to go on going out to buy you something. I have done the same thing and this is the best time of the year to go shopping for yourself.

I went to Oldnavy and bought a really cute girls diva skinny pants and a purple long sleeve tee. I have also bought a nice jean mini skirt with a blue short sleeve tee as well.

The best part about shopping this time of the year without getting caught is to ask the clerk for a gift reciept and that there will show you are buying a gift.

You must show us what you bought and tell us all about your experience.

I hope you have a good time at Kohls.

All the love

Amy

So I got to Kohls around 11:30-ish and there is nobody there, The parking lot was gone and empty which made me happy. So I say hello to the cashier at the door and I walk around the mens side. The coast was clear so I found the lingerie section (I was scared they moved it, it was right merged with the girls section.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in their department. The only panties I wanted to buy where those candies thongs and I doubt I could fit into them comfortably even though they were ultra cute. So I take a look around through the place and just hit the chemises and babydolls. I thought they're would be more but it's just like the site, about only 6-8 styles.

I did get a cute santa one, just look on their site for a picture. It's red and has a marabou trim. Also came with a little g-string. Even though Christmas isn't here yet. I'm going to sleep as Mrs. Claus tonight.

That sounds great Amy! I am a little dissapointed to hear that Kohls did not have a good selection of Lingerie.

Also, you had the courage to wear panties out in public? WOW, good for you girl!

You are much braver than me. Or, maybe you just have more money, so more opportunity to shop?

Or both. Either way, good job :).

unless you have no job, you probably have at least the same amount of money as me. The babydoll was only $24 bucks today so it was kinda cheap. I kinda wished I had more money, I should go there tonight and pick me out a dress.

Hello All:

Well, I went shopping again at Old Navy and bought another cute outfit. I got me another skirt and another cute top to match as well. I love the feel of going out and shopping at a regular store for cute outfits and girl clothes.

I feel like that I am turning more and more into a girl and that I like to dress up more and more and try to find more times to dress up and to look like a girl.

Hope to hear from you all

Amy

Well they were just a pair of bikini VS undies. I don't think I would started off wearing a thong at first. Maybe next time.

I threw away most of my male ones, kept a few just in case (Dr appts etc). I had almost thrown those away to until this issue came back up again. Perhaps your right, over time hopefully I'll get more used to it. Having to switch back to regular male undies made me sad. I think going up a size may help to. It's not always sore, only when I wear them for long stretches. I don't feel myself in male undies. Thank you for the advice

Over time, the stress continues to lessen -- as well as the euphoria that accompanied my coming out and beginning HRT. And as those milestones recede in the rearview mirror, it has allowed me to feel much more normal,  and to find my own expression of "non-binaryness".  My clothes closet is probably 80% female items, and will likely stay that way for the forseeable future. Were I young, I doubtlessly would find a different expression, but at 75 I am happy with what I achieved.   Another +1 to what @KathyLauren said regarding the worrisome and hateful behavior that we are witnessing. I can hope that this cycle will diminish over time, but to aid in that, each of us and millions of cis voters need to be involved in local as well as state/provincial, and national elections.    Kind regards,   Astrid

These work well to keep the bits in place without too much discomfort. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=menstral+panties&crid=3A0T4KFOGDZW3&sprefix=menstral+panties%2Caps%2C89&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

Going to a bigger size might help. I'm wearing high cut panties every day now - threw out all my male underwear - and ended going up a size just for the abrasion issue. I think that wearing them all the time has helped me "acclimate" as well.

Currently the material is stretch cotton bikini with no tucking. I've even tried to stretch out the front to create a pouch. Unfortunately I've only had limited success with that.  I'm considering trying a bigger size..maybe that'll help. Thank you for the input

Maddee, that makes me so happy for you!   I, too, am grateful for what I've learned about myself and for how far I've come in this past 1.5 years.

Correction: MUCH more peace than I had before.     Profound improvement.  Gratitude. Make it the best possible.

@Sally Stone I am genuinely sorry that I haven't been able to respond to your amazing story and example. Life has just been throwing multiple challenges my way.   I live close enough to Harrisburg to have been seriously thinking about attending the conference next year. Of course, your latest discussion of living part-time gives me pause because the fits me right now. I've been tempted to reach out to the organization and start a dialogue. I have signed up for their newsletter.   Any thoughts on if/how I should proceed?
