Shoulders And Muscle

It seems that one of the very few problems I have with perfecting my passing ability from Male to Female is my shoulders, which can be easily covered by clothes. Next to hair other than on my head this is the only problem that seems to hit me. I don't have that much muscle, but looking at myself in the mirror today wearing a running shirt it definitely can't be defined womanly, so I was wondering if there was any way to tone my arms and shoulders to look more like a younger females'. Also, I only need help with the elbow up in terms of my arm.

Thanks in advanced!

I'm not really sure how to help with this.

My therapist has told me that there are all kinds of women, some of them are tall and muscular and could be mistaken as male.

Some are muscular and feminine. I believe that with the females, their skin has extra fat content, so their muscles need to be really ripped to notice them. Male bodies dont' have fat distributed like that. I'm really not sure how to fix that dear, I'm sorry. but I hope this has helped maybe a little bit.

hi,

to tone your muscles rather than build more muscles, you need to do light weights with lots of repetitions and do a lot of stretching afterwards! think light weights with 20 reps/ 2 sets/ then do 13s and 31s followed by single reps. the 13s are one quick up and 3 slow down. the 31s are 3 slow up and one quick down---just do light weights!!! Yoga is great for this as well, as you are stretching the muscles and keeping them long and lean.

Took me 20 years to get rid of my strong arms and shoulders (I have pics to prove it too 10 years ago they were still pretty tough looking but nothing like in my daily lifting at work days).. lifting anything is totally out and slowly over the years your body will first turn the muscle to fat, then to nothing. nearly 10 years hrt has helped me as well.. but mostly it's the changed lifestyle and diet that has been the biggest factor.. muscles that aren't used will go away given time. There really is no short cut except for starving yourself.. and I don't suggest that for a moment.. and even then, if you are lifting and carrying at home or work (I see crossdresser.. so not actually transitioning) then you will have to take steps to avoid whatever it is you do that makes them that way in the first place... if at all possible.

I did find a site about exercise and diet a long time agoo.. Renee Reese or somebody like that, but it's either gone or I can't remember what I used to find it.. Had some reasonable stuff which might help, but in the long run it's more about changing how you use your body in day to day life. If you work where lifting stuff is a regular thing you will have to put up with the male development it brings (strewth.. look at Russian female shotputters) as a side effect.

Most of us don't want to wait 20 years for atrophied former muscles to disappear. Meanwhile, there's a lot to be said for shrugs and boleros in dark colours, or in dark lace to tone the bulk down. Dark blouses with semi-transparent dark or black long sleeves are great, too.

I have only recently discovered the trick of ordering DRESSES, as opposed to skirts and tops in different sizes.....the low-back'd halter designs will fit waist and over 'bust' and round the neck without you having to squeeze your shoulders into them....Then comes the bolero top, or shrug to hide those shoulders. Just a hint.

As to exercise, the aerobic ones that don't use the upper body much are the ones to go for...e.g. cycling or running. Fit cyclists and runners have slim shoulders and arms. Swimmers, shot putters and rowers don't !

The age thing applies to both of them, and I say this as someone in my own mid 70's. As for being "businessmen," I don't consider the government to be a business.  That might be part of our problem now.  But this might not be the place to open that can of worms. I would like to be able to keep my personal freedom to live as myself, and the social security that I worked most of my life for.

Although the right to care has been affirmed, I still find it disheartening that so many of the treatments that are available and beneficial to someone who is trans, is consequently barred by insurance companies who claim that anything beyond HRT and vaginoplasty, are cosmetic. I believe that any procedure that can help to make one passable as their desired gender, has the potential to be lifesaving. Is being able to just blend in as our desired gender so abhorrent to the insurance companies?    I also believe that the transgender communities are taken advantage of in many ways. Look at the number of healthcare providers who will provide care, but want up front payment, which in many cases, is way above what an insurance company will pay. It is very expensive paying out of pocket, yet many of us become so desperate to transition that we just pony up the money.

The only thing good about Trump, he's a businessman, but as for leadership to be the president of the entire   United States.. ahh nope lol, there's no telling how many secrets he blabbed to foreign countries when he was in office, anyway he's too old to be in office.

I hope to be able to drop in on tonight's Zoom. If I can, you'll see me wearing this band-collar floral popover with jeans and these slip-on sneakers.

Oh, my! It seems as if I have been gone for so long. And, interacting with you all has been such an important part of gaining an understanding of who I am this past year.    My wife’s mother passed away this week. She was in her late 90s but has been in relative good health. Until the past month. We brought in hospice last week when she began to sleep most of the day and began to become restless and uncomfortable. She passed in her sleep on Monday.   As you might imagine, it’s been a whirlwind of coordinating burial arrangements with family, the unreal home, the church and the venue for a lunch after mass.   We have a place here on our property where we place the ashes of family members so we will place her alongside her husband next Saturday.   Of course, our new puppy adds to the strain of time. She is a joy but also a typical Lab with lots of energy. She’s 11 weeks old and already 21 pounds.    I will I’ll find my way back here more as things settle down.   I miss you all!
