How Should I Have My Hair Cut?

presently I have dark brown hair, that is very thick all over my head, it's about 2 inches long at the fringe and 3 inches long over most of the rest of my head, apart from where it tapers down at the back and sides. So there really isn't a lot to work with right now, but I really want to get something more feminine, ideally as much as possible. I also want to start growing it out, at least in the back, so it needs to be something that will transition gracefully. I really like the pixie style cuts but i'm worried it won't look feminine on me at all, ppossibly just slightly gay or maybe emo. i'm gonna get my eyebrows done which will help. I'm going to get my facial hair lasered asap next year, and I suspect even after just one or two sessions it should reduce my facial hair enough that the rest will be hideable with makeup (while i continue to have the sessions but it's a month between each one). So I'm really hoping that by then, I can look good enough to be able to go out full femme, and maybe even pass.

if i did get something pixieish and it did look gay on me, do you think as my face become more feminine that the hair would start to look right? as it would on a GG? or is it always going to be a mistake going with a boyish girls cut.

The style of cut you should get is dependent on the bone structure of your face, and your facial features. Do what I did, go to a reputable stylist and get them to help you figure it out. Mine still isn't where I want it to be, but as it grows out she's shaping it, and it's actually beginning to look very feminine (depending on how I style it of course, I went with androgynous so I could go either way, as I'm not out at work)

Getting the eyebrows done makes a HUGE difference, you'll probably be quite surprised afterward.

until i get my stubble nuked, there will be no doubt in anyone's mind, which sex i am (externally at least), so i'm not too worried about hair because no matter how feminine i go (aside from pig tails) it's just gonna look emo. also the situation i'm in, other than being generally concerned for my safety on the street there isn't really anyone for me to come out to, there's my neighbour, that's like it. I have a few friends I slmost never see, but i'll just tell them at some point, they'll all be cool. my sis is the only family i have left in my life(we've both been ostracised) and she knows and is supporting me. and i haven't been able to work for a long time due to depression/anxiety/ fairly regularly trying to kill myself.

i'm thinking i might wait till i can get some laser, and then perhaps get hair extensions, i don't wanna go too long but i'd love hair like this http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/8387/alyssamilanohair.png and that's a good year's worth of growing it out away.
