So so so I've recently really started to embrace (not out in public yet) wearing clothes and feeling more like the girl i want to be...but my wardrobe is basically just a hodge podge of unmatching items i've gathered over the years, none match or fit all that well. AND I can't find a size chart online that makes any sense to me at all.

Bascially I 6'2 and 170lbs... that's right I'm a tall gal.. and 170 I'm actually pretty thin. All my pant size is 33/34.

When it comes to panties it's sooo differernt i'm a large, I guess but it totally depends on the type. sometimes large is way too snug on my...ummm..haha and sometimes it's a little bulky. so I no idea. I'm finding some really cute stuff online and I just gotta have 'em but when it gets into the numbers (5,6,7...) i have no idea what to do..

With dresses and skirts I am even more lost. ugh, and I have no idea how to get a bra size and then stuff the cups to the size I want.. which is about a D i guess... hey I'm tall I need some curves!

Thanks, so so much,

Veronica

Veronica, in addition to the chart on this site, I've found that every on-line fashion catalog has size charts, sometimes brand-specific.

For lingerie and panties, you might try the size chart at Victoria's Secret if the catalog doesn't have one. If you want to hold things in

well down there, go with one size smaller than you would normally wear.

Good luck, hon.

You are tall like me. In jeans - go to JC Penney - on line - 'ultra tall' jeans. In heels you need at least a 37 inch inseam (you probably wear a 34 to 36 mens). I am 6'2 but slightly heavier at just under 200 pounds. I wear a womens 18 most sizes - you might get away with a 16 - its mainly how tiny you waist is.

Also - the BEST method in buying is to just try the stuff on. It's easier than you think - just shop at slow times and the clerks will gladly help you even in male presentation. Women's clothing is wildly variant in sizes form manufacturer to manufacturer.

And the 'D" cup want is a common thing - but try being more conservative.

Hope this helps

Well, I am 5' 11" and was 173 pounds when I started my transition. I wore a 33/34 waist, 32" length guy's slacks and 34/35 medium tops.

US misses Medium or Size 10 slacks fit pretty well. I have dropped to 148 pounds now and generally wear 8's but can get by with an occasional size 6. If I avoid short and petites, the length has always been fine. And I prefer a medium 8-10" rise, although I do have a few pair of hip huggers.

On tops, I generally stick with misses XL and Size 14. I absolutely hate for them to look tight! Of course, if I find something I really really love in an L, I will give it a try ;)

I wear a Size 10 dress and like the length from the shoulder to the hem to be no less than 36" for an age appropriate look.

I usually don't shop the juniors clothes. XL tops are not as common but I can wear Size 11 slacks and Size 13 dress.

Hope this helps.

nymphblossom, I really appreciate you sharing your pre and current sizes. I sort of knew my sizes (tho I'm finding with women's clothes, like men's, the difference within the same size is considerable), and am about an inch shorter and about 4 pounds heavier then your pre numbers. And I'm at the top end of the sizes you were wearing. So, I feel a little more comfortable in what I'm looking for. And you've given me a goal now. I really need to lose at least 5 pounds and probably 10. (and more important, keep it there!) Thanks!!!

Chloë

(I guess I sort of hide it decently in my pictures, so this has been a fess-up)

i guess i need a little good old fashion coaching

Hello Veronica

I am with you on trying to find clothes to match. It does take time to figure out the configuration from Male sizes to female sizes. usually on big name retail outlet sites like old navy and forever21 when you click on a item you like, there is a small limk that says size chart to help you out with find your size and they tell you how to mesure yourself.

Victoris seceret will help you out even if you are male to find out your size. to find your size, use a seastress tape mesure and hold it on the top part of your chest and go around your chest all the way till you get back to the beggining. that will be the size like 33, 34, 36, 38. The letter refers to cup size like A, B, C, D and the A cup is the small cup to DD which is big. Usually a C cup is fairly average.

To help out with sizes, you should probably go to a fabris store and pick up a seamstress tape mesure and mesure yourself for hips, waist bust, inseam and when you get those numbers it should better help you out with what size you are with dresses, pants skirts.

I am 6'2" like you and weigh 180 and I wear a size 8 to 10 in skirts or pants depends on the brand and with you height you should look into the tall section and not regular or petite.

Buckle.com for Buckle pants is a great place for tall females with a small waist but they are pricey but they fit awesome.

Hope all this helps out for you and look orward to talking with you

You are sooo welcome,Chloë. I can't even begin to tell you the thrill when I wiggled into my first pair of size 6's. And there is just so much more selection in the smaller women's sizes. Getting down to 148 pounds made a HUGE difference, but I am hoping that a year or so on hormones and my upper body will decrease enough so I can consistently fit in Size L tops...

Bathroom usage law based on chromosomes is quite irrational. Just within the intersex community there are quite a few problems with it with those that have full or partial androgen insensitivity. For instance, I have XY chromosomes but also have a uterus and fallopian tubes. My breasts are real and I have had them since puberty. I was also born without a penis to speak of, but I do have testes.    I don't look like the average guy, and much less now that I don't hide my DDD's behind baggy layered clothes.    Physically I am much more female than male, but my birth certificate and chromosomes say something else.    I most definitely don't fit in the men's room. Last time I tried everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me until I left. I have used the family restroom in public ever since (all gender). The Texas law basically leaves only one choice for intersex individuals. Family restroom or pee your pants. 🙄

I had a similar experience.  My father, doing geneological research, googled the name of the tiny hamlet in Scotland where his family came from.  He was surprised to find a request from someone in Australia wanting to find his birth mother.  The mother was named as my father's sister, from that same tiny hamlet.  There was no possibility of mistaken identity: there could not be two people of that name in such a small place.   The family knew that my aunt had had a child out of wedlock, but no one had kept track of the child.  And of course, the times being what they were, knowledge of the event was kept on a need-to-know basis.    My father contacted the person in Australia.  He gained a nephew and I gained a cousin that I never knew I had.  We kept in touch until my cousin passed away a few years ago.  I am still in occasional contact with his widow.

I can relate to that, I started my oral estrogen back in 2017.. less than 6 months I was wearing jeans size 40, then afterward my hips started to curve so I can fit a jeans size 12 or 14.. my treating doctors suggested for me to take before and after pictures and show it to them during my next doctor's appointment.

Good morning from the backyard patio,   Parker and I are outside enjoying the morning sounds of the day. It’s was filled with the beautiful sounds of birds, bugs and kids off at a distant playground. My coffee was hot, strong and black. This came crashing down as the Monday morning trash truck came into the neighborhood. We’re the first neighborhood for the trash route since a city ordinance keeps all commercial workers limited to a 07:00 start time. It was Parker’s first time experiencing this noise and physical vibrations as the operator slammed the articulated arm around picking up individual trash bins. Parker ran from the fence back to the patio swing looking back at the monstrous truck causing such a commotion. His head tilted, ears perked, and body language indicating curiosity.    My second cup of coffee is settling down as the birds return to singing their calls, and Parker ravages his toy rabbit.    Hugs and best wishes as you take on the week. Happy Monday!   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Adrianna Danielle   I’m glad you agreed to the paternity test.    My Uncle found himself in a similar situation and after the test he was faced with explaining his infidelity and one night stand to his wife and family. Not only did the test come back; “YOU ARE THE FATHER” she looked like a sister to the other children in his family. This was a “23 & Me” moment confirmed by an independent test. The most important reason for the young lady to search for her father, was medical history and peace of mind. The blessing of the test was her understanding and willingness to disappear into obscurity. That was not what my Uncle or his family wanted to happen. She was family and they wanted to know her and eventually love her as a family member. The next 4th of July family gathering, she was introduced to the rest of her extended family and I gained a cousin. My prayers for you as you navigate all the possibilities, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well I’m short on time again!   I had to move to the couch around 3:15 this morning. Unfortunately my wife’s med vac was making a lot of noise which woke me up and I couldn’t sleep. Then I over slept because my alarm wasn’t set correctly, my fault.    @Mirrabooka Hobart is a beautiful city and Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit. I was there several times in the 80s.    @Birdie Texas isn’t the only state with such laws.  Don’t try going to a public bathroom in Florida either. Now there laws aren’t based on chromosomes or anything like that but it’s a birth certificate as far as I know.  That Texas law is a tough one, really anti transgender in all respects. Except!  What if you have an extra chromosome?  Or DNA that’s flipped?  Did they think of that situation?  Medical theory suggests that is the case when it come to Transgender people, but especially the young ones.  Also, IQ, that tends to be higher than average.  There are a lot of things about us the medical science is studying, not just psychology.   got to go   Willow
