Skinny Jeans - Good Or Bad?

Never really been something I bothered with, but I tried some on today and in my opinion, they don't look bad.. As stated though, it's my opinion, which ain't always right. I knoe they're probably one of the hardest things to get away with if you're trans, but I have a pretty boyish figure anyway (lucky me! :D ) and was wondering if they make me look curvy or not? I really liked them though, and was practically ecstatic at finding a pair of jeans that fit me (26-28 waist and not super short).

I KNOW I don't pass great. Ignore the face. In terms of my body, does this look work?

I'm not 100% sure what look you're actually going for, but no, the jeans don't make you look curvy, and they're quite nice.

If it's a male look you're going for, the shirt in the second picture probably isn't a good idea, mens shirts are typically not v-neck, they're more like the one in the top picture. It works as an androgynous kind of look though.

Well, Hon....if you like them..that's your call...

But, let me tell you, I wear skinny jeans to look more feminine ...

I love them and it's all I ware..girls skinny jeans...

You should hear me after work laying back on my bed trying to get out of the dang things...

My wife will finally come in to help me get them off..she gets tired of hearing me cuss and yell and wiggle and fuss...

But, years back, I wore skinny jeans as a guy in rock bands, so I guess that it's not that unusual at all....

Up to you, Hon!

I think the skinny jeans look nice.

Here, everyone wears them (they either wear a lot of skinny jeans or a lot of very baggy jeans). They've gotten to become a genderless type of clothing, but that's just my observation.

i think with the top which looks slightly fitted. the outfit looks feminine, although you might pass for a gay guy.

but pair it with a big, black, straight up and down, at least a size too big t-shirt with the name of some sort of band written across it and i think it'd instantly be there.

Thanks.. Wearing things too big is uncomfortable for me though. And since I'm already underweight, it draws attention to that and makes me look weird. :S

I'm not bothered about looking overly masculine, just as long as it's not particularly feminine either. All I really wanted to know is does it give me 'curves'..

the jeans don't but you see where the top comes in slightly around your stomach. that's done on purpose on womens clothes to make your hips look wider. a men's t-shirt would be straight down, and unless they're really skinny, will tend to always dress in loose clothing, it doesn't have to be huge, but mens sizes are just kinda made to be a little baggy, and it looks right on them. Women's clothes are all fitted and they're supposed to be tight, which is why with my current bulging stomach i'm wearing a 22 top and 16 jeans. i could wear an 18 top which would be about the correct size if i didn't mind it showing my gut off. It seems a few FTMs are still kinda used to the idea that clothes should conform to the shape of your body but that's just not how guy's clothes work. Unless you're like super ripped.

It's a guys top. Both the tops I'm wearing are.. And I'm not 'ripped' as such, just skinny, and like I said, wearing baggier things makes me look like a stick. *has proof*

tho do you look very masculine there, and quite angry, but you look like you're at tops 13 maybe even younger.

i would certainly read you as a young boy.

Eh.. I've shown people that last photo before and been told I look like a little kid. Personally, I don't mind, but I'd rather look a tad closer to my real age (17). I'm happy with my figure as it is - I don't particularly want to 'beef up', I just don't want to emphasise the 'lightweight'-ness, as you put it, either. :P

Actually I don't plan on taking T.. My own reasons. I'm not overly bothered if I pass as long as I don't do anything that unknowingly makes me look more girly.

They look great on you. I'd take you for a teenage emo boy with that look. Definitely not curvy. Agreed, the fitted top is a feminine cut. I'd disagree about V-necks though. I have some guy v-necks. Mind you, what I know about guy fashion would fit on a washing instructions label

I have to agree that you are not curvy at all. I would also say if you added weight it might just add the curves that you don't want. Do whatever makes you happy and if that is staying slim than stay slim. As far as the jeans go, don't worry a thing. They look good on you.

I personally really love skinny jeans. *Insert camp-tastic wrist flick :P* I lucked out being fairly slender with a masculine pattern of fat distribution. (well...mostly. I like food too much to be as skinny a guy as Thorndrop. And I have those growths...)

I think the only feminizing effect they have on you is showing how your legs tilt in at the knees (which is how your bones are structured to compensate for your hips; your legs, regardless of your sex, are designed to meet at the ankles. So they'll go at a wider angle if you're biologically female. As in, have an XX chromosome. )

However, it's something I NEVER noticed until I was going through Gray's Anatomy (the book; not the show) and learned that little tidbit. So don't worry about that affecting your ability to pass. (You are actually plenty passable. Though I'd recommend cutting your hair. You could keep it longish, but I don't like long hair on guys, and the curtains look is one of those unisex hairstyles that has that awful tendency to polarize you if your face doesn't quite aesthetically match your target sex.) And I've seen plenty of cisgendered boys whose legs do the same thing. So you'll be fine.

Bear in mind that I mean it as a compliment when I say you look like kiiiiiiiiiinda like Ellen Page, if Ellen Page was a dude.

Do avoid the vnecks though.

Really? I love the look of guys wearing v-necks. I'm ENVIOUS of it. I fantasize about finally having top surgery and being able to wear a v-neck t-shirt like that. And look like a GUY. Albeit, a slightly effeminate guy. (Which is what I was going for anyway.) But a GUY.

Ugh, it aches, sometimes...

When I saw the title of this topic, I was there a little worried there, but actually, you pull this off quite well.

I agree with the above discussion about the second shirt you're wearing. You pass best (ignoring the face, as requested, though I think it's better with your hair back) with the shirt in the third pic. You could also try a polo, maybe. I dunno how well that would work, but it might be worth a shot.

The third pic is really pretty good though. If your hair was cut, you'd either be passing or very close to it.

They look fine. I mean I wear skinnys to look more fem and show off what I got. I mean skinnys are kinda a girls thing anyway. Get boot cut jeans they go in girls sizes too.

Skinny jeans and v-necks for guys are definitely in right now. Especially in Europe. You don't look curvy at all. Very young though. That always seems to be the problem for FTMs, huh? We all end up looking about ten years younger than we should pre-T.

I wear skinny jeans but that's the fashion style I like (rock/scene guy lol) My hips are girl (I guess... I think...) but I pass with girls noticing me (and yeah in an Aww-his-cute way lol)

Those jeans looks more like straight jeans though, but they look great on you.

oh yeah...

I sorta like the fact looking young lol even though I'm like 18 but still XD

My kitty has a litter box, which she uses on occasion.  But she prefers to make me get up to led her out. I could install a "cat door" but I'm afraid it would be used more by the possums and raccoons.  I have had possums in the house more than once - even without one.

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
