Something Really Neat Happened

I love to write although I don't have much time to do it anymore. Most of my writings have been spiritual inspiring poems and in recent years I have posted many of them in the forum section of a few sites on the internet. Well I got a pm on one of the sites I haven't been to in years asking if I wrote it. I pm'ed them back and said yes. I also told them the story of what inspired me to write it. they in return wanted to know if they could use it. My immediate answer was yes but that I didn't want any credit for it because I know who inspired me to write it. And I wanted Him to get the glory for it. As you can guess by now I am talking about God. *But don't worry I am not going to start preaching* Well I got another pm today from this lady and she had given it to her minister and he posted it on Net Hugs. The manager of the site picked it as the poem of the week, put it on a e-card and now those words are reaching many. The comments people have left are so touching to me that it brought tears to my eyes. Because I have never wanted anything from these poems, all I have ever wanted is for them to touch people lives and maybe bring a little healing to their hearts and lives. This particular poem has touched many lives and now it will touch even more.

This one of the neatest things to ever happen to me. I can't tell you the name of it or post it here because as I said I don't want the credit for it because I know I was merely the tool and God was the author. But I will tell you this much it is somewhere on the homepage of Net Hugs. I tell you this much because maybe it might just help some of you here that are hurting. And I just want all of you here to share in a blessing that has really touched my heart. And I hope this post doesn't break any rules...Huggsss...Katrina

Thank You Amanda. I think there are many of God's gifts here on this site. I find myself getting very close to people here as I read through the threads and get to know everyone. And I see how compassionate and caring everyone is here. Before I came to this site I felt so alone. Don't get wrong I have others to talk to but no one can understand what it is like and what we go through unless they have been through it.So I just want to thank you, the staff, Laura, and everyone here. Because you are all a blessing to me...Huggsss...Katrina

That is a wonderful, selfless and touching thing to do, Katrina.

Not to ask for even credit for something like that tells me that you are a giving soul. I admire you very much, both for your gift of words, and for

your unselfish nature. I know that you will get love in return for your gift, and that is the greatest thanks anyone can ask for.

TY Carolyn. I think to often in this day and age that we live in we all need to give more. Seems like so many don't want to give anything unless there is something in it for them. Yeah in tragic events we are giving but I am talking about our every day lives. I truly believe we all have a gift even if that gift is saying a few kind words to a passing person on the street. Who knows, maybe that person is feeling so alone and those few, kind words may lift them out of their despair even if it only last for a day. Because maybe the next day someone else will say or do something to lift them up again.

I also believe that the best time to give is when we are in need ourselves. Because it truly does make one feel good when they say or do something to make a difference in someone else life. And you can't put a cost on doing something like that. People say their is nothing free anymore but they forget about goodwill and kindness. They are free and should be given much more freely. Because if they were this world would be a different place...Huggsss!!

I am a little confused about the word in your title there.    Defamation is a variation I know about, and it is akin to Libel and Slander in meaning, and could be the object of a court action or a couple of types.   If you are referring to the act of denying or taking away your feminine gender, ie. they keep using masculine names and pronouns or referring to you as  a "man" or "man in a dress", then yes it happens to me on rare occasion and if it is online, I simply block the moron doing it or leave the group where they are doing it, and may or may not come back if the person is there.  When people are willing to learn about Trans Folks I do give what are jokingly referred to as Trans 101 or even more in depth classes to the receptive and accepting audiences.  I DO NOT however try to teach a pig to sing, which as they say sounds like hell and annoys the pig.  If someone is invalidating your gender, get away from them safely and FAST.

My inner child likes to cuddle with Blahaj.  I know it's weird, but it works for me.

I'm not sure they can do this.  Not on line anyway.  LOL   Defamation?  Not that I personally know of.

Nice! I've found myself shopping around for astrophotography gear more than once but haven't taken the plunge yet. To close to a metro area to do it from my home.

It never occurred to me to be able to see them here in the south.   Maybe tonight if it's not cloudy.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.

No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )
