Shaved My Legs, First Time

I have been shaving my thighs now for a year or so, I've found myself really yearning to shave my legs all the way down (and up!). I finally screwed up the courage, and, well:

#1: legs seated

and another one, this time showing the hint of "toe cleavage", and a LOT of leg (ohh, shame-shame, KM!)

#2: legs freshly shaved

Kisses!

Krystyna.....

Feels great, doesn't it?

Now, you're going to have to keep them up and silky smooth...a little lotion after shaving works wonders!

HUGGS!

I shave my legs almost as often as I do my face. It's a bit of a chore and I must have doubled my consumption of blades. But it's definitely worth it for the feel alone.

Do any of you have any experience or opinions on using wax strips? I apologise if I'm re-opening an old or tedious subject.

Hugs,

Penelope x

Kathleen Rose, Donna Jean, Debs, Penelope -- thanks for the encouragement, it just feels terrific, (and they look better in the pics than I hoped - athletic, but not bulky). I have to say, I'd never shaved below the knee, and so I thought, I wonder how electric hair clippers will work at taming that fur? Wow, it was amazing, made the first shave so much easier, like it had only been a week since my last shave. So I strongly recommend!!

I like to use lotion after a good shave, I agree it makes a world of difference.

Penelope, I don't know the waxing. I'm guessing no one Nairs - I never hear anyone talk about it. Is it just not effective?

Kisses!

Krystyna Marie,

I don't know about Nair but I have used Veet. It is effective but I cannot abide the smell or glutinous feel of the stuff. It seemed to take an age to get it off my skin. I guess I should have jumped into a bath or a strong shower. Also, be careful of your sensitive bits; it bites! :o

(I still hope somebody here can tell me about the waxing experience.)

All the best,

P. xx

Stipple-lation to the lotion idea. Make sure you only use unscented lotion with no artificial dyes. That would hurt and burn and cause unsightly razor burn and possibly even infect hair follicles. But unscented undyed lotions will keep the legs silky smooth. Also, a light exfoliant on your legs after shaving to get dead skin cells off to help aid in cleaner shaves the next time around wouldn't hurt either :)

Just a lil bro helping out (26 years as a chick has to pay off in some way)

Well, I am going to make everybody jealous - I have to shave my legs about once a month or so if I just feel like it - there is so little hair and it is so light that 2 months will do nicely if I am wearing hose.

It is getting even thinner now that I am on HRT - that was before I started!

It is a wonderful feeling to have smooth legs and that feeling doesn't go away for me for nearly three weeks.

How many signs does it take for others to realize that I was really meant to be a woman?

As to the lotion - if you can find it, uncolored, unscented Aloe Vera is incredible it works after shaving and to sooth sunburns and any other skin problems like rashes - get some but if it is green do not buy it - most are green it is an artificial coloring - Aloe is clear!

Love ya,

Sally

Nair works well it's just that there is so much hair to remove if you're doing your arms, legs, chest etc. that it gets rather expensive and it only last about as long as shaving, maybe an extra day in places. waxing lasts much longer and leaves you smoother, same with an epilator. Also, if you don't rip the hair out you're left with stubble, which isn't pretty when you have very dark hair

hi, i is Sam!! A year later, I'm still at the shaving of my legs - yay! But I was wondering about that epilator is that better than shaving? Shaving is tedious and I hate getting nicks :^)

I have been using the epilator for about 5 years, and it works better after starting HRT as the hair gets finer and slower growing, but depilating isn't for everyone, as it stings a bit at first.

The first time I shaved my legs I wondered what I was doing. Two years later, I carry a Bic Soleigh into the shower every other day to to remove the hair that tries to grow back. Last summer, while visiting family, I didn't shave for two weeks. It felt gross! I couldn't wait to get home to fix the problem. Once you start shaving, you will never want to stop!

I am so happy for you! I know my legs feel wonderful freshly shaven and moisturized. I had mine waxed about a month ago and have started using the epilator to remove the hair as it grows back. I don't have them totally smooth yet with the epilator, but the hair is starting to come out easier. I agree with others that once you start, you really dont want to stop. The way they feel, and how much better you look and feel while dressed is wonderful.

I first learn't to use a razor, early in my puberty, shaving, legs, armpits etc. I have

always hated that fact that I kepted growing all this body hair and I still hate it.

But between razors, epilators, depilatory creaming, I can manage to live an almost a hair

free life.

But on my head it is a different story, I am growing my hair to a very feminine length and

style.

I must admit that sliding into bed with freshly shaving legs is absolutely heaven.

April, that is def good advice. I have had some really bad experiences with a therapist in the past. She way violated my trust. That caused a massive amount of damage to every corner of my life. Truthfully, because of that i have alot of deep seeded trust issues. I'm not sure i could ever go back to therapy. You are of coarse right, therapy would help, suppose its a matter of finding the right one and learning how to trust again.

I look for purses with a shoulder strop that goes across the body. I also like many pockets. But one purse is not enough. I like purses that are artistic and make a statement about my personality. It doesn't have to be flamboyant, but matches my character. I also need a purse when I want to blend in and not be noticed so easily. One that won't draw attention to me when I don't desire it.

What if a social media platform giant, (we all know its name) on devices we own, is held responsible for creating rules to intentionally target our community? for political reasons?

Well just got back back from a visit to our oldest and family. It was nice having my granddaughter snuggle up to me on the couch. Gave me a big hug when we went over yesterday. Spent all day yesterday with them.  I envy my granddaughter, being able to grow up a girl. Something I wish I got to do.    Hugs, Kymmie

I hope our members from the Mid-South are doing OK today.  A lot of places had a real disaster overnight.  Tornadoes dropped all over, through Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee.  Lots of damage, and many people missing.  Pray for those involved, and that there won't be another wave of it tonight.   My county was spared almost all of it, but a neighboring county was hit hard.  Our Defense personnel were mobilized this morning to assist with access control, because all their local LEOs are needed for search and rescue.  No idea of how many are injured and missing, but there have been several deaths.  We may not know for weeks.  Rural areas here have a lot of shacks and trailer houses, and most people were asleep because it hit at the worst time - early morning on a Sunday during a holiday weekend.  Tornado hit a retirement home, and lots of elderly folks were hurt bad.  There was no forecast for this, and little if any warning.      Electrical outage is widespread, and it has been followed by a really hot, humid day.  Heat index is around 115 - it's killer heat.  I went out with my husband this morning, since everybody with a CDL was needed for a convoy.  I'm back home now, since I only got a couple of hours of sleep last night.  He'll probably be there overnight, and GF is there also helping with mechanical issues.  They've converted a big Baptist church into a community shelter for people who have lost their homes, and set up a generator and AC.  I'll probably go back tomorrow to help some more, as they're working on setting up a kitchen...nobody wants to eat MRE's forever.    They're getting no help from the state at all yet.  Governor didn't bother to declare an emergency until this afternoon!   The National Guard hasn't been activated either.  If it wasn't for Defense personnel, there'd be gawkers and looters. Its ridiculous, like only the cities matter.  Two rural towns literally no longer exist - its like a bulldozer a half-mile wide went through.  I've seen tornado damage before, but this is the worst.  Its just heartbreaking to look at it.
