Hello Natalie, and a warm, sincere welcome to Laura's! We are truly family here and our caring and acceptance and love for each other is genuine. Your video was breath-taking---very simple and moving. There are others of us here who also identify as Christians and have reconciled who we are with a loving God, who I like to say is bigger than they ever told us He is. I live in Oregon just south of you BTW. So make yourself comfy and Sally will be along with her wonderful cookies-out-of-the-oven and cocoa. Laura's is a place to find comfort, solace and to find we are not alone in our journey.

That was a moving video, I loved it - what an introduction

I am a much older lady who spent a lifetime in turmoil so I am very happy to see that you have found your true self and admitted it so that you could travel through the majority of your life in the correct gender.

I like to greet the new members with hot cocoa and fresh baked cookies - it may seem a little silly to some but if you just imagine holding the cup in both hands and bringing it up to just under your nose, you can feel the warmth - that is not from the cocoa it is from the hearts of all of the amazing members of Laura's who are so often made to feel unwelcome like rejects and misfits by people who do not try to understand.

There is nothing like that here, we are accepting, friendly and loving - everyone has their own personal problems but we tend to push them aside while we support the others here and in doing so help ourselves.

We are all about support and love so welcome to the family.

Most people here call me Momma Sally so I guess that makes your special boy, my grandson!
