New Hampshire State Representative Nancy Elliott On Gay Sex In Schools

New Hampshire State Rep. Nancy Elliott ® shared some of her views about anal sex at a recent executive session to repeal same-sex marriage. Rep. Elliott does not discuss the bill in the clip below, but she does share her views, extensively and graphically, on anal sex.

"We're talking about taking the penis of one man and putting it in the rectum of another man and wriggling it around in excrement. " Rep. Elliott said. "And you have to think, I'm not sure, would I allow that to be done to me?"

She went on in this same vein until interrupted by someone off camera. "Representative Elliott... Let's keep our discussion directly to the bill."

Rep. Elliott, however, was undeterred. "They are now teaching it in the public school. They are showing our fifth graders how they can actually perform this kind of sex... They are saying this is something that you, as a 5th grader, may want to try."

You can watch video of her speech here:

Now I was quite surprised. Obviously, she provides no proof, but I'm shocked to hear that sex of any kind is described in detail within the New Hampshire public school system. When I went through sex education, how to perform sex was not covered. However, that's because Maryland is a pro-abstinence state. My question to everyone is, should the how-to's of sex be discussed in school? Should all forms of sex be covered (oral, anal, vaginal, etc.)? Should sex even be a concern of the public school system? I know I'm totally for the teaching of safe practices and health, such as the use of a condom, regular STD checks, and how to make sure your organs are healthy. But I'm not for the in-depth discussion of sexual techniques, because I don't see how is important for curricular learning.

Wow, that lady has problems.

As for sex education, I think the way it's taught now is just about alright, at least out here in California. I don't think anyone (except for a few messed-up teachers) have ever gone that in-depth though when discussing it, they normally just do the safe sex thing. It should totally be taught in schools though- for the most part people are stupid and parents shouldn't be trusted with giving their kids the whole nine yards on sex.

I love when people forget that straight couples can enjoy anal sex, too.

I don't really remember any how-tos, either. I think it's all scare-tactics... "They won't just be telling you that some people are gay- they'll be giving them in-depth instructions and making them go out and have gay sex for homework!"

Yeah I went to school in New Hampshire, they start teaching about sex in 5th grade. They didn't mention gay sex or go into any more details then this goes in that and so on. They didn't go into positions and the Kama Sutra if thats what you're saying lol.

some of us girls like to clean ourselves up a bit before a big date

clearly anal douching needs to be taught in public schools as quickly as possible ^_^

I live in NH, and for those that don't know, Nancy Elliot is one of those people that like to sensationalize everything that she does'nt understand. She is a person that refuses to be educated. Last year, when the bill for transgender protection from discrimination, was being voted on...she turned it into a bathroom issue, and the bill turned into the"bathroom bill." She said that by allowing trans people equal rights, it would give pedaphiles the right to enter into any bathroom they wanted. And because of her ignorant rants...the bill failed to pass. She is a person that should not be in public office.

I have to say though, I deeply doubt that they are going into detailed explanations how to bum someone in New Hampshire. California or Massachusetts I could believe but not New Hampshire. I think that the representative is just exaggerating. Anyway, here are my two cents on sex-ed. The most importnat part of sexual education is to teach the kids how not to get pregnant or get STDs. This means explaining both how to say no to sex and how to protect yourself if you do choose to have it. In order to teach the latter they should tell students how sex is done and how gay and lesbian sex is done to an extent. You can't explain how to use a dental dam as protection against STDs without explaining what oral sex is. The kids are going to find out what it is anyway and chances are when they find out it won't be accompanies by a clear explanation that there are still risks of STDs involved and how you take certain steps to prevent them. I'd rath. I don't mean that they should tell kids how to do foreplay and stuff but kids need to know how to protect themselves while having sex, and that means all sex including gay sex. But I'm not for the in-depth discussion of sexual techniques, because I don't see how is important for learning. Besides, how many kids want foreplay explained to them from a teacher?

#1 That lady's weird.

#2 It's been absolutely without a doubt proven that comprehensive and honest sex education works several times better than abstinence only education or any other queasy type we barely get in American high schools. Gay sex should certainly be included in that, after all, it takes some skill people aren't necessarily born knowing, plus as Ryles pointed out, straight people can have "gay" sex, too.

I don't think how-to needs to be covered in school. I think that's completely inappropriate.

*shrugs* That's how they do it in Scandanavian countries, and they have pretty much the lowest teen pregnancy, abortion and STD rates in the world. (I know they lead Europe, Canada, America and Australia, at least) They start sex ed in kindergarten, too. A completely honest and open attitude towards sex, rather than a "oh, don't tell the children about such things!" one has been proven to be much better overall for society.

I wholeheartedly agree that social stigma causes certain things to be tempting to the youth, but I don't think it's the school's place to go into detail about the how-to. A better solution would be to remove conservative ideals in the U.S. This way sex wouldn't be so taboo and so many kids wouldn't be doing it just for the reason of being rebels. The same idea for alcohol too. I know way too many teenagers that drink a lot simply because they are "sticking it to the man."

Michigan has Paul Scott who is going to run for secretary of state and he wants to keep us from ever being able to change our id's to reflect our true sex. His reasoning is the same thing as this "bathroom bill" sounds like it was. Some bs about keeping genetic males from putting on a dress and going into a women's bathroom. Never mind that to actually get your id changed you need to have SRS which to me would be going a long way just to be a peeping tom.

I highly doubt they are actually teaching sexual techniques in the schools (I tried to watch the video but it tells me it is private and will not let me). She is just using another made up statement to further demonize the LGBT community in the eyes of her political base. Hmmm.....let me see, there was another group and in particuliar one person who historically did this very well. Can anyone guess? Maybe it was a little Austrian man by the name of Hitler and the cup cakes.

And as to actually teaching safe sex in schools america is like a lot of western countries and really up tight about sex and the human body. One of my best friends was from Singapore and had lived in Hong Kong, Brazil, Sweden and England and she often told me about how the US is so repressed about sex. If statistics prove that sex ed, as oppossed to sex non-ed (i.e. brow beating about never doing it) keeps people safer with fewer unwanted pregnancies, then why is it even worth discussing? It should be done. Then again, I know from the math courses and literature reviews I have taken that statistics can be and usually are manipulated by people to show whatever they want them to show. But if several independant sources show something to be statistically true, then usually it is.

Love and *hugs*

This is a great argument against the "bathroom bill" argument. While it's not true that in all the states you have to have SRS to change your ID, I think in any state where you can change your ID, you would probably have to show some kind of proof of being transgender. Like you said, going through the process to get that proof is a little much for someone who just wants to go into the wrong public restroom.

Yeah I mean I know it's horrible but there really are much easier ways to snatch kids.

Of course they know that too, they're homophobic and just looking for an excuse to legistate their views

I wish we could eliminate such attitudes but it will take decades to accomplish if we ever do manage it.

Oh we'll never accomplish such a task, in my honest opinion. You'd have to start introducing liberal ideas into conservatives families and that isn't going to happen on a wide scale. It's like trying to get a conservative to marry a liberal. Sure, it happens from time-to-time, but people of similar beliefs marry each other most of the time.
