Depressed

My friend is depressed, very depressed. She said the church doesn't accept her. She went looking in to all these internet sites regarding being intersexed and catholic. I don't know what the churches view is, I only hope she starts accepting herself for who she is. I am not feeling that well myself. I am worried about her, but don't know how to help. I don't think she trusts any medical professionals because of her experiences with psychiatrists when she was young. I don't know how I am going to get through this. I have a lot of emotional problems myself. I was diagnosed several years with schizoaffective disorder.

I am catholic myself but I haven't come clean about myself toward them yet. It is not easy to explain until you may want to explain a little more maybe we can try to help. I agree that your friend need to accept who she is. It's hard to find church who would accept us for who we are. There are some churches out there may accept or don't accept. Ask your friend to join us to this forum and maybe we can try to help you and your friend.

Also do you mind to tell us a little more about yourself so we can also try to give our advices what you need to know. I may don't have all the answers to it. but we can at least try to help.

Please look around and you'll find on like that...

And if she feels better, just maybe, you will, too...

Dear Dianna,

I feel the best medicine for your friend is to come to Laura's and inter act with ones like her own.

I was raised catholic , went to catholic school for 12 years, and will not let that inhibit me one bit.

The church is made of people not Gods. I was taught God is love and is all forgiving. your friend did not request to be born with feelings that you are different, so this was totally out of her control and should have no shame for it.

Please let her talk to her I would love to help and think I have a chance in helping her with her depression.

PM me any time, I will use all I learned here and life experiences, and promise to do my best to help her, There is every thing to gain and not much to loose. To me the risk reward ratio looks favorable.
