So I'm finally getting off my butt and getting the fuzzy ball rolling and I have a consultation at Ideal Image tomorrow at 2p where I'll meet the staff, see the place, find out pricing and get an estimate about how many treatments I'll need and find out more about their March Madness sale!

..how laser hair removal ties into basketball I have no idea but it's their marketing strategy, I'm just here to get a good deal.

Don't you see the obvious tie in - have you ever seen a hairy basketball?

Take advantage of any sale no matter how stupid the marketing may be.

Love ya,

Atta girl, Lizzie!

You're gonna love it...the results, not the procedure. :P

Laser and electro is the one place where we still need to call upon our male stoicism to get us through.

DANG, it really does sting (or burn).

But you know what, I've only had two of six or seven sessions, and I've already noticed a great reduction in

the density of hair all over my face. After shaving now, my face feels really SMOOTH, and my five o'clock

shadow has been deferred to about eight o'clock. YAY!

Good luck, hon. Have fun!!

Its not too bad! Nothing a bottle of wine and a gallon of antiseptic cream won't fix later!

Seriously! GRAND STEP in your transitioning! You will love the results!

If you have a pale complexion and dark hair laser will work wonders.

I've had four sessions so far and my facial hair is significantly reduced. I still have hairs coming out from my fourth session but I expect that after my fifth session I will need to switch over from laser to electrolysis to take care of the hairs that where not quite killed off and instead grew back as fine but not that fine white hairs.

Laser hurts but for only a split second and then it stops hurting. The thing is if you get zapped enough in a short time frame the pain just kind of compounds. The best thing to do is keep breathing. Don't hold your breath or you'll pass pout. When the session is over put some aloe on and it will help keep the skin from drying up after the session. By the time you walk out of the building it won't hurt anymore but you'll have a week where the hairs are very dark and pronounced and feel like brush bristles stuck in your skin until they finally just fall out.

Well the people at Ideal Image quoted me a price of about $6700 for the full treatment and 4 touch ups later if needed.

Or I could pay per session at the low low price of $737.

Or I could get in-house financing and put $683 down and pay $243/month for 24 months (I think?).

They really impressed me with their staff, how clean the place looked, that they have registered nurses on-location (maybe this is a requirement? I don't know). Overall it was nice, clean, organized and calm/soothing.

I have a few other places I need to go to and check out (locally owned places) and I have until the end of this month before I have to make a decision on their offer.

It is a bit of a long drive though. :(

Good afternoon M.A.   Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums, I think you'll find that there are a lot of us who had their first therapist reconsidering our story and recommended us to gender or LGBTQIA specific therapist. I made my first therapist cry after asking me what was my worst experience or memory. She was not prepared for the can of worms I brought to the couch. My second therapist is a gem, she's my age and knows how to work with my thoughts.    My two kids were also involved in the arts programs in school one in theater, the other combined art and modern music.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome.   This can be a good sounding board and a place to say things you otherwise could not. Be yourself. Find out what that is.   Abby

I'm wearing a white t shirt and jeans.  The t-shirt is softer than a man's and slightly girly.  Feeling kinda pretty.

That's very common in internet forums and it is hard not to take it personally sometimes.   You might post "bump" with a smiley face to bring it to the top of the stack, or you might use the @ feature if there are certain people you would really like to have comment on it, and say something like Dear Abby, I would really like your input on this.  Please take a minute and respond.  Thanks!!!

The same for me... That's exactly were MmIndy came from. I started choosing female skins as soon as they became available in the few games I played.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Something else I noticed @Ladypcnj Since I use the Unread tab, I don't see threads I've read again until someone replies to it, or the author adds something.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Ladypcnj   Some posts get lost in the busy times here. It also maters how people navigate the site. Some only look at their notifications, or tap the All Activity tab which shows them thread they've commented on. (how I see it)... I on the other hand use the Unread tag under Activity. I don't think people ignore post as much as they get caught up reading threads they've already been active in.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
    • Ladypcnj
What to do if post is being ignored?
    • Ivy
LOL.  I have done this more than once.
