Feeling Bland

Ok for some reason I'm not even depressed. I usuaally am but I'm not and it's been this way for a few weeks. I have a lot of reasons to be depressed: can't decide on a sexual orentation, grandma just passed, have to wait about 10 years to transition..........I can't feel anything.........i know I want go be a girl subconsiously, but consciously I'm like not there. Has anybody else had feelings of not being there? Any advice would be appreciated

I don't know where you got the idea that your transition will take you 10 years, but isn't it more important that you know who you are regardless of the timeframe anyway?

I know those feelings all too well.

The hardest part for you right now is that you have had some bad things going on in your life and you know that you should not be numb but feeling very depressed.

Actually numbness is a feeling too so don't get depressed about not being depressed.

Sometimes these blah feelings are just a means of avoiding a true depression so don't beat yourself up for self preservation.

You are fine just as you are, let the mood pass.

(Really? I am the first guy to participate in this convo?) I kinda get what you mean. Sometimes I get apathetic, don't feel like doing anything. Everything is just blah. It kinda sucks but glad to hear it's not actual depression because that's worse. I think you need to find a "hook" - something you really like that can get you out of your apathy - at least for me I need something to get me out of the loop, or it just continues.

Honey....I totally understand where you're coming from....

I go there, too....

I get the "Blahs".....not really depressed, but strangely numb...

My wife will ask ask me what's wrong and I'll say that I have the blues....

She asks why?

Well I dunno...it just is.....

Yep - happens! We are usually on such a roller coaser ride it suddenly seems strange to just... nothing!
