Hi Sienna

I got mine pierced, two in each ear lobe. :D

Though it's hard not to wear my nice long dangly earrings out in public.

Just itching for the day I go public. ;)

Hi,

Was wondering how many of you had pierced ears or wear clip-ons?

Sienna

Honey....

I had my left ear pierced in 1972.......

I just got my right one done on New Year's Day 2009...

It was acceptable all of those years to have one pierced ear in "guy" mode...

Now that they are both done I still wear one while at work because I still have to present male there...

But, I change it back and forth...right to left on different days....no one notices!....LOL

HUGGS!

Pierced! Its so liberating! No one cares... I did mine myself 25 years or so ago. And you can wear either pierced OR clip-ons that way.

I have talked about it to a few of my friends but I am a major coward so I am waiting until we get together again and they are going to drag me in and hold me down or I will only have the one - if that.

Love ya,

Just the left ear at the moment. Been there since '86 - oh time flies!! Many guys around here have both pierced. So no worries of being outed. Want to double pierce both when done. Just in no great hurry on that. Many other things to worry about first.

Luv Kat :)

Very cool. I'm so jealous of you girls that do!!!

I would love to have my ears pierced -- neither are right now. I have a few obstacles... my wife still isn't sure. I think she's more worried about what her parents would think. My own parents would also definitely give me a hard time about it, but I could live with that. Maybe the biggest consideration for me is work. I'm in a director position at a corporate type company and manage a team of people. Some people may not care, but others may change their opinions. No other guys I work with have pierced ears either. Unfortunately, I've worked in corporate environments for many years and they seem to be more judgmental about appearance. I'm sad in a way because I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get mine pierced.

Hi Sienna (love that name :) )

I use clip ons. I have thought about piercing my ears, but I have never followed through.

Since there are so many lovely earrings available that are clip-ons.

I do not see the urgency.

As long as I can express myself the way I want to... I'm happy :)

I know how you feel in a corporate environment. I worked for the state for many years, and although the dress code was 'reasonable,' everyone knew what that meant, DON"T overdo anything. So my hair was almost white sidewalls (military understand that) and never longer than 3/4" on top.

Now its in a pony tail! It's waaaay past shoulder length. Of course I retired - and everyone thinks its a mid-life crisis thing (yeah - I'm gonna live to age 122!)

But the kicker? I love my little silver hoop earrings - wear them everywhere except work (you cant live on a State pension)- AND my wife likes them! Goes with my ponytail look. People say I look like a rock singer! [bono I guess! DANG I was going for Cher.]

But my ears were pierced way before I even started working for the State. No one ever said a thing.

Honey - but you are practically full time. And very beautiful I might add.

I wear earrings at home and in male mode (subtle gold or silver loops). I just love the affirmation. I guess what we are telling the 'unpierced' is - NOBODY CARES anymore! Well - corporate America, maybe, but say you are in a mid-life crisi and it is cheaper than a mistress, sports car and a funny hat!

After lots of friends (the cool ones, of course) pierced their left ear in high school, a trend I missed, after starting to come to grips with who I am, I pierced my left ear at age 41, did it myself with ice, alcohol and a safety pin (ouch). I love it, wear my earring every day, dangly ones on the weekends when I can, and I currently use clips (at home, sometimes when driving about) on my right ear. I am currently fighting the urge to pierce my right ear, too, but I am still closeted, I work in a very conservative company, I'm at the peak of my career, and I can be myself at home for the time being, so for now, pierced left ear and clips on the right! Nothing makes me feel more girly than two earrings, and painted nails.

Stay sweet, Sienna! KM

Well, we all do what we must, when we must to satisfy our needs....

I was wearing only one pierced earring to work until last week...I accidentally wore them both in and didn't notice it until late...everyone must of seen it...

Well, the cats out of the bag and I started to wear BOTH to work now!

I love it!

HUGGS!

I'm currently on the ballot for an open US Representative seat in Portland Oregon.  Here are some of the news stories on me:   Rachel Lydia Rand on Ballotpedia: https://ballotpedia.org/Rachel_Rand#Campaign_themes KATU 2 (ABC) Know Your Candidates 2024: Rachel Lydia Rand https://www.katu.com/news/know-your-candidates/rachel-lydia-rand-d-congress-district-3 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum for US Representative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOoS39CTEOw KOIN 6 Written Interview | top issues, what's going right https://www.koin.com/news/politics/rachel-rand-on-running-for-district-3-top-issues-whats-going-right/ League of Women Voter's Interview with Rachel Lydia Rand https://youtu.be/V5o9RKE3WVo     This is my third time running for US Rep.  Campaigning is very challenging for me because I only have two family members still alive and I've spent less than 2 weeks with them in my life and I have virtually no social network to start with and I don't belong to any social media sites.  I haven't even been able to post here and on sites like it because of rules about self-promotion.   I'm boldly saying in these videos that I want to be appointed to vice-president in the next 5 years.  My platform is about addressing climate change and everything that comes with it.  Population decline is the number one proposal I have and it is very, very scary and controversial for most people.  The way I see it is that oil is more than a fuel we burn in our cars, it's a substance we pave our roads with.  And it will run out, so at some point in the future, most of these roads are going to go away and we'll have a much harder time distributing food.  I play chromatic pennywhistle and I'm this iconic whistleblower politician saying that we will not be able to support 10 billion people at the end of the century on wind and solar power.  Even solar panels are made with oil and there isn't much difference between a wind turbine and a dam.  If we can build skyscrapers and nuclear power, then you'd think we'd be able to figure out how to make a wind turbine 100 years ago.  It's simply not as efficient.  The numbers I've crunched say that if we have one child for every two women for the next 40 years and then go back to normal replacement rate, we'll get our population down to 2 billion by 2099 which is where the world was at in 1950.  If we don't do that and stay on this current path for the projected 10 billion by 2100, then when oil runs out and climate change raises sea levels and floods coastal cities, humanity is going to be in a very uncivil situation.   I'm sorry that I'm not making a huge issue of transgender rights.  Of course I'm here to support our community.  I'd be highly visible on our national and international scene as a transwoman.  I tend to focus on engineering realities rather than these social issues.  It upsets me that people take engineering for granted.  People tend to just get in their cars and think that there will be some space age technical solution that will make it all OK.   OK, that's my rant for the day :-)  Coffee is on.  4:26am.  The ABC station is interviewing me again in a few hours and people can vote for me today.  Please consider spreading the word.  I'm only one person and it takes an incredible amount of effort to keep my political thinking and platform going.   Sincerely, Rachel Lydia Rand Jazz Musician | Software Engineer

"Exstatic" is an adjective that means feeling great rapture or delight. For example, "His wife gave birth to their first child, and he was ecstatic about it". Synonyms of "ecstatic" include rapturous, entranced, enthusiastic, and frenzied.

Good morning, everyone!!   A busy day ahead for me - need to cut the grass and then pick up the clippings. The grass grows so quickly this time of year. I cut almost 7 acres so that will take up most of my day. At least I can get some sun on my legs and arms!!   Time for another cup of coffee as I catch up here.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.
    • April Marie
I started shaving my legs years ago - I started getting an occasional mild contact rash on my shins. That became my excuse to shave them for both me and my wife. Over time, the rash didn't expand...but my shaving did. Full legs....groin......chest......and finally my arms. Keeping the rash at bay was my excuse until I came out to my wife. Now I typically do a full shave on Sunday mornings. The hair is lighter but I just feel better with it gone - it helps with the dysphoria and dysmorphia. I will also typically do a chest touch-up mid week since I notice the growth more there.   I wish someone would invent a pill that would stop hair growth everywhere except on your head.

Good morning.   im not sure where the time went.  I had a decent nights sleep,  didn’t  tell Alexa to let me sleep another 5 minutes,  I didn’t do anything extra but it’s almost time to leave and I just got here.  Definitely only a one cup morning.    I have the overhead console out of the Ford. It needed some repairs with toothpicks and glue.  Been sitting all night t for the glue to harden. I’m always to impatient with glue but not this time.  I want it to hold. Ok the next owner won’t be able to change the lightbulbs however in my defense, the are led so they will likely still work when the car goes to the salvage yard.   gotta go. Not as much on my plate at work today but it’s always busy.   Willow

Yes, my programmer friends and I think that antivirus software is a virus.  It's constantly searching your system and slowing it down.  If you install your own OS and software on your machine, and you make backups of your personal files, then you can recover from viruses in an hour or two.  My computer is 10+ years old and is working as good as the first day I had it.   As long as my computer is doing what I want it to do, I don't care if someone is spying on my system.
