A Thought Hit Me (this Is Kinda A Question)

Now maybe I'm just slow, but a thought hit me (As stated):

I've been playing a girl for 17 years, and in this time I have learned most of the tips and tricks of the trade, as much as I hate to admit it. So I thought "I really should share, considering not all MtF get the hints and such so easily." Upon toddling over to the board there, it occured to me that I am not sure I am allowed to reply there. O_o

Am I? Just curious.

Hey Matty,

I for one would be extremely happy to see some tips from someone who has been doing this for a while, we have had and been using this offer from some of the MTFs SOs and I find it very helpful.

In return if you need any help with your transition (meaning any FTMs) just ask me - I had been playing that role for over 50 years.

We are all in this together, the destinations may be different but the hurdles are pretty much the same.

That is very sweet of you to offer. I have been working hard on my style and make up. We all could use so beauty tips. Mine is that as my hair is getting longer ( I am growing it out ) I wounder how often I should go to the salon to have it shaped? I have resently discovered the wonders of the pedicure.

Good Morning Ms. Amanda! As for your hair, this depends on the style it was in, and what are you going to. Usually, the point of getting it shaped depends on the rate at which yours grows. A good recommendation is that you get the ends trimmed every 2-4 months to keep it growing, as for shaping it, you want to do this slowly, mostly when you get it trimmed. That will help make it more manageable and give you some cute in-between styles. The growing out phase is the worst period of time ever in the hair world, in my opinion, but it can also be managed gracefully if you have a good stylist. Don't be afraid to ask around for suggestions on who is who.

I post in the FTM forum all of the time.

If you go to the MTF forum you will see that quite a number of FTMs have plenty to say there

All that wonderful info we so want and you so wanna leave behind! Like I said your feminine side of your manhood is gonna be really well set! Same with us MTF -the masculine side of our womanhood will be.... ummmm.... significant.

So why not share!

I STILL CANNOT GET THOSE FLY-AWAY HAIRS TO BEHAVE WHEN I PUT MY HAIR IN A PONYTAIL! They laugh at hair spray, they giggle and sneakily escape from bobby pins! I cannot cut them in bangs because I love the longer hair so much.

So will I have to just learn to ALWYAS spit out my hair ends before I eat my french fries? Is a girl's destiny to look at the world though a black forest of hair strands for the rest of her life? And how do I sweep my hair back when sleeping, and the pillows pull and wake me up?

Day to day living - it makes me swing my head prettily and brush back my hair every three minutes - so coy and feminine a gesture - but ..

My hair always tickles my nose!

Any suggestions other than axlegrease?
