Problem

Alright so i have a job that pays really well, the only problem is i work with a bunch of ignorant guys. Now only that i work with lead so at the end of the day i have to shower. I already wait for everyone to leave befor i get one and i didn't even start hrt yet. The question is what type of jobs did you have or what do you suggest? thanks in advance, Jamie.

To be honest I always seem to find it difficult to find work that accepts me for who and what I am...(god I hate saying that) but anyways...I have found that working for yourself is the way to go...at least for me...

In the past I found it ok to work in factory settings...I did not get too harrassed there...

There is so much information out there to begin your own business...and some of it you can do right from home.

I own and operate a lunch shack...resturant. Oddly enough its called the "Lunch Shack" lol

I know its not always possible .... but by far the best way is to be you own boss and start your own business, then you can pick and choose your own clients...if they have a problem with you , thats their problem. Alternatively start a business using the internet

I currently work part time at a card and computer gaming store. It's geeky for sure, but hey, it's been my passion. Besides, card playing is nothing to joke at either . Professional card gaming used to pay for my college. Now that I am finishing up school, I help out the card store I've been going for about four years. My co-workers are people who I've known about 7 or 8 years. I am slowly coming out to each and every one of them, and they're like "okay, sure. don't worry."

My other work, is more like a collection of odd jobs called filmmaking The more I tell my filmmaking friends, the more I realize they don't give a crap what I am...it's all about if I can do the job or not . Last job (okay, it was volunteer work, but it was like a way to advertise myself...) I had was documenting the first pilgrimage back to a Japanese American internment camp.

I also have a 7 hour worth student job and a paid position in the Student Video Filmmaker's Association and I am also a student

I also agree about starting your own business. I now own my own small-as-heck production company, which I'm hoping I can build. Ebay business require a lot of diligence, but it can be quite rewarding since you can work from home. Internet business by yourself does require a lot of set ups and business planning to have it succeed, but it's worth it if you can make it work too.

Oh, and as far as steady jobs....there's always state or federal jobs if that'd be fine for ya. Lots of holidays!

Well I had it Mississippi when I posted that...I recently moved to our state MI....give it time and it will be back up and running again...mind you it wasn't this great resturant...it was just a simple place for everyone to come and get a quick bite to eat when they had there lunch..it was just a shack in the middle of town close to workers...so no reservations needed...lol.

It might not have been a four star place but it was mine...and I loved it....

I have been thinking about setting it up during the fairs here...that is my goal anyways...

I too agree with being your own boss, and working from home which is something that I am wanting to do myself.

However, one of the problems that I am running into is finding legit ways of working out of the home. As many of you already know, there are a lot of scams out there, and I am having a hard time figuring out what is legit, and what is not.

Like someone else on here mentioned, ebay is one of those legit ways, however I am wanting to find other ways of working out of my home that are legit, and how to make this happen, along with my options.

I am a Truck Driver, 18 wheels of steel, Local Colorado. I find that my job is more or less a good one, I dont have to put up with anyone unless I have to, All of my co workers know about what is going on and if they give me a Hard time about it I just turn off the CB radio.

We have about 15 trucks in our fleet and the owner is well known in the company. The fact is He also knows what is going on and had a major talk about company policys of dress and the sort, will explain later why I got the talk about dress code again, but I would have to say that he is over protective of me. When he is around he will not allow even a little joke, as some one learned the hard way, made a joke about something I cant remember about what, and he got a 3 day leave.
