Transsexual Gender Benders

By transsexual gender bender I mean a transsexual who does not conform to the social rules of their mental gender. For example, a masculine MTF or a feminine FTM. Personally, I am the latter. I like makeup, like some traditionally female clothing, have some female interests and prefer guys. In the end though, I think of myself as a guy and hate my female body. I know that there are other effeminate and feminine transmen on here but I see very few masculine transwomen. So, how many transsexual gender benders are on here?

I guess that I would be a masculine MTF. I really don't care about clothes and stuff. Half the time me and my girlfriend wear mens clothes. It just depends what mood I'm in I guess.

Hey, Praised....

Really good topic!

First off...there are no rules in Transgenderism....

The place someone is at can be all over the spectrum...I mean...it's the same in the Genetic world, too..

There are masculine women..(A GG girlfriend rides a Harley and doesn't even own a dress...but she can be as girly as you want!)

And there are genetic men that don't fit the "Male" strerotype either...

Actually I've got to experience both sides in life ...a macho guy and a girly-girl!

We are what we are!

I'm a gender bender. I have been told that I'm queer. I do all sorts of presentations mostly fem,or lesbian. Sometimes mens clothing and women shoes with full make up. I have a purple zoot suit that I wear with white shoes a white shirt and a black bra I'm a C cup. I like having fun with gender. In New York City you can get away with a lot. No matter what i'm wearing I a fem it you get with I mean . the mods might like the real term. .

i like to think i don't conform to any kind of gender stereotypes. i am who i am, and like what i like.

i just happen to be a guy who was born in a girls body. i don't really think i'll fit in to the "typical" crowd of either gender.

and i will never cut my hair short.

interesting topic.

I'm a very masculine MtF and plan to keep it that way. Actually, if this makes any sense, I think I'll be more masculine once I'm deeper into transition. If I act too masculine the way I am now, I'll feel too much like a man and hate myself. But once I have a female body and identity, I'll be free to be masculine and still feel like a woman in my own way.

I'm very hazy about my sexuality right now, but I'm pretty convinced once I get my own gender in-line, I'll probably be a lesbian.

Transgenderist - those who like the idea of being the opposite sex in body, but are not trying to change their personality or ways of thinking. I donno. It is so often, as Donna Jean said, we transsexual are otherwise like the general population, which has stuff all over the spectrum -f rom super masculine men, masculine men, sensitive men, effiminate men - androgynous - masculine women, aggressive women, feminine women, super-feminine women. TheN add sexual orientations, general personalitie and physical traits (which may or may not match the mindsets) = all over the place.

While on Laura's, only one MTF sttod out to me as a man in a dress. Just her personality. She very much denied it - BUT, I was never convinced she had any feminine qualities at all. So I guess masculine FTMs exist - outside of cross dressers, drag queens and female impersonat, ors who DO NOT want to change their sex.

It okay to be what you are.

I am sure there are feminine FTM. I just don't see them - possibly because I am on the other end. Like Donna Jean, to my surprise, I am girly-girly,, h Unlike Donna Jean, I never was super-macho,while playacting - it just didn't work for me because I was so unbelievable I guess.

My friend ALLISON says that makes me a femme - now what is that?

Good topic - your writings? Donno - you seem a solid FTM type who enjoys the part of the femininity you were put into. I don't consider you an 'effiminate' Tman, maybe more of a Tman with 'feminine' attributes? That's your definition, though.

This is a good thought inducing topic.

As has been mentioned,we trans cover the spectrum

of gender. And it takes tolerance from us for the one's

who are non conforming to our idea of who and what

makes an MtF and an FtM and how each expresses them

selves.Having taken part in the FtM Focus part of our meetings

at SAGA,I have heard of the differences with the guys.

While it has been my experience that the women don't talk

about,or acknowlege the MtF's that are non conforming to

our idea of being a trans.I'm glad this subject has been brought up.

It seems to me that having a radical acceptance of ourselves and others as we are and where ever we may fall in the gender identity spectrum flies in the face of gender identity disorder, which has at it's core non-acceptance and dissatisfaction with where we find ourselves on this spectrum. It really does get down to loving the woman or man that you are regardless of whatever gender-associated characteristics you may have. For me that translates to being a woman who adores having female breasts and who also is comfortable with her male genitalia.

Actually you sound a bit like me... on the opposite end of the spectrum :)

Right now I feel like I'm fairly masculine and want to be that way in order to prove 'I'm not a girl', but I think that if I were a boy physically that I'd no longer feel the need to 'prove anything' and I'd instead be very feminine...

I am the complete polar opposite of my oldself.

Then I was macho man,a beer swilling, foul mouthed,

person I hated. The facade I built over a lifetime to hide

the inner female.

With time in role, and relaxing enough to just let her have

her say...I am very feminine in mannerism, but not in dress.

Meaning,I love jeans and tees,and cami's,open toed flats,little

makeup, and many times, without polish on hands or feet.Though

an essential to me is jewlery.Femme, without being overly femme.

*waves* Me.

I am not, nor will ever be, a stereotypically masculine man. No guns, no beer, no large muscles, no cursing and hard parties, et cetera. I think I would define my version of masculinity as a gentleman, or a dandy, floating around somewhere between a guy in a dress and the sensitive guy of the 1970s men's movement...

But, as Exeter said, I am presenting as more masculine just to prove I am not 'girl'. Once I am received and comfortable as being perceived as a guy, I will re-incorporate more of my feminine elements. Right now, I am androgynous guy; after transition, I could be androgynous/feminine guy.

I personally am not, really. I'm not super-femme or anything, but I don't consider myself masculine by any means (just a normal girl, I guess).

But I think transition and such is MUCH harder for those who don't necessarily fit the stereotypes very well. Some idiotic mental health "professionals" know very little about it (my psychiatrist, for example), and if somebody doesn't skip in with a penis and a pink frilly dress, they doubt that the person is really MtF. Obviously, its not the case, and can lead to a lot of stress in people's lives. There are masculine women and feminine men. It doesn't make you any less of a woman or man. The only determinant of that is some static internal note on a permanent bulletin-board in our brains.

I am sorry you had such a traumatic childhood experience.   There are many of us trans folks who are asexual.  It is not at all uncommon.  Sometimes it is due to traumatic childhood experiences, sometimes for other reasons, sometimes for no discernible reason at all.    As Carolyn Marie said, you get all sexual variations in both trans and cis people.  I strongly second her recommendation to see a therapist.
    • BobbiSkunk
My whole approach to this has generally been telling a handful of people very close to me, and nobody else.  I feel they don't really need to know?  Is that a wrong assumption?  I was just going to do my HRT and if they see changes in me they can ask.  I don't really like sharing info with people.  Will this approach be more trouble than it is worth?
    • Carolyn Marie
Yes, you would still be considered transgender if you are asexual.  Sexuality and gender preference are separate issues entirely, so one can be trans - desiring to be or dress as someone of the opposite gender (including cross-dressers), and also be Gay, Lesbian, bi-sexual, asexual or pan sexual.   I am also very sorry that you had to endure such mistreatment as a child.  That must have been a horrifying and traumatic time.  I hope that have been or are now seeing a therapist to help with those experiences.   Carolyn Marie

Looking for a bit of advice or encouragement really. I'm 5 weeks on T and excited about any new body hair. I'm not getting much, but I've noticed more around my pubic area and bumhole lol, sorry if tmi. I've also a got a few more thigh hairs and lower leg hair is growing longer.   I know it's very early days so I wasn't expecting facial hair at all for a few years, but I definitely seem to have more longer blonde peach fuzz hairs. Pre T I had some anyway and I used to use hair removal cream and pluck, because I did get some darker hairs I didn't like. So I don't know if this is my natural hair because I haven't been plucking so much and using hair removal cream. I really want to have facial hair, but also I am worried that I look like a cis woman with some facial hair. I certainly am far from passing at the mo. Basically I'd love to embrace the hair and not shave. I'm already excited by more moustache hair that's growing through, however the hair is only on the sides frustratingly, rather than the middle also. I think shaving could be a euphoric experience, but could make me look more fem. I'm not sure if I should leave peach fuzz or shave. Do teen boys shave or leave their chin hair? I'm 34 and don't want to look like a teen. Want did anyone else decide to do?

If discussion of past child sexual assault triggers you turn back   In a Previous post I have stated I am an Asexual 45yo M who turned Asexual due to childhood trauma. I feel i need to get this off my chest. Sorry if this triggers anyone.   Okay backstory: at a young age around 13-14, I was interested in dressing up as a girl. I was a skinny effeminate boy with silky black hair and clear complexion. I was lucky in that I had an understanding female school friend(Jane) who liked helping me to dress up at her place, hell even her mother helped after she caught us 3 months in. boy was that embarrassing! anyway fast forward about a year later just before the school holidays and my father comes home Early from work Drunk. This is after I returned from visiting my friend after school, I had taken a shower upon returning but had made the mistake of leaving some of the clothes given to me by Jane's mum out(was going to hand wash and dry them in the back of my closet before father came home.)   Queue ugly scene Gay shaming, physical violence, forcing me to dress back up, using me as a "-awesome person- son should enjoy it if he is dressing up". two days later during holidays, after being grounded and unable to see Jane, Father ships me off to some friends of his --------{i hope i do not have to explain what happened to me during this time}) on the Coast with money being exchanged I think. after that holiday season I forced myself to wear the ugliest boy clothes i could and eat unhealthy in an attempt to gain weight to make myself look unattractive which seemed to trigger puberty as I shoot up and out putting on an athletes build over the next 6 months. with the help of Jane and her mother I was able to get Father arrested and sentenced for 15 years about 2 months after the holidays ended with me ending up in foster care for disturbed children.   After that holidays the very thought of being with someone since has been.... sickening. The idea of very idea of having sex makes me Shudder  still the idea of dressing back up has been too painful 30 years later. It was only after a doctor recently recommended I wear sports tights or stocking to bed (to try and alleviate night terrors which had sprung up recently brought about by personal skin to skin contact as I slept) that the idea of dressing up again crept in. I enjoy dressing up in pantyhose and underthings in the safety of my bedroom on occasion but the idea of being with someone still....   I guess I want to ask is: can you be classed as trans for liking to dress up in lingerie occasionally but also Asexual for not wanting sex?

I think it is true that MAGA-ism has been exported to the U.K. and other places in Europe and even Canada.  It is a very sad phenomenon.  Hopefully, it is also a transitory one.   Too much of the world seems to think we are a scourge that requires either control or elimination.  It is depressing.     Carolyn Marie

background: I am a 45yo Asexual 6foot 4 Male who most days has as much sexual identity as a dead Rock most days. But every now and then I want to feel pretty by wearing pretty underwear and pantyhose. but as a Larger person (3-4xl Aus boxer) I am finding it hard to find underthings that are not overly frilly (sissy) or have false camel toes online. I am unable to go out shopping in public without being drugged due to a spinal injury.   I am not trying to be something i know i am not. I know I am a rock due to childhood trauma that caused me to have issues with being with others and even skin contact with myself at night can give me violent attacks which was what actually got me into pantyhose (by doctor recommendation). Sports leggings during winter and pantyhose during warmer months to block leg skin on skin contact and long sleeve mircrofibre shirts to stop torso skin contact. i brought some mesh shirts on etsy (custom made on sale) which has gotten me into wearing nice clothes occasionally.  my question is: I am looking for some HI CUT HIPSTER BIKINI style panties for crossdressers for someone with 49inch/125cm hip that will not break the bank. I have gotten some pretty shirts and leggings on etsy but am finding it hard to get underthings that are not OVERLY sexualized just some thing that makes me feel pretty every now and then
