I am floating on nothing

tens of hundreds of miles above it all

and I know not what I am

a whisper - a vapor - really nothing there

nothing

nothing there

I am reelling in the fish I catch

hundred of millions of every kind

none seem the same

and I know like me - they don't exist

no fish

none there at all

I hate the time I waste each day

seconds and days and years it seems

each is in its place

but all the same - each is not

not real

of no real significance

So pending something I cannot know

with each new breath

I wait again - my rebirthtime

still floating on - on nothing at all

a whisp - a wraith

not really there

Lizzy dear - much sadness in your writting - but then I think most of the great works of art and literature come from those with a core of pain. I love what you write but wish life was such that you had no need. Take care of yourself

I do know the feeling. That is something really deep. It reminds me of my own periods of numbness.

Ok, so the comments I make (or try to make) on poetry very rarely come out right, but I really needed to comment on this. I have no idea how to express what this made me feel, but it gave me chills and I'm close to tears (my dad's in the room, otherwise I very well might be sobbing right now). Very powerful.
