Changed With Age

I've changed with each decade and unfortunately as my waistline dictates. As I grow older I've become more conservative wearing more two piece outfits. That would include loose fitting blouses, vest with flowing skirts and cardigans. I'm also totally in love with pearls. They just seem to contribute a touch of class to all that I wear. But, it wasn't always that way, like in the 1970's when I tried to emulate Cheryl Tiegs (I was much thinner then!) and could get away with it. So it was pretty much a transition from the look of a model with bolder colors and jewelry to now where I am more mature with my look and more sophisticated. Gone are the days where I thought I was a super model and am now more like Donna Reed or for that matter Barbara Walters!

LOL!

Oh my goodness......

Through the years cross dressing...when I was young I took what ever i could get away with and later, I hate to say, I was probably more like a "Hasty Pudding" show...no taste at all, just everything that I could throw on to feel more feminine....

Now that I'm transitioning in earnest, I'm more conservative (my wife won't allow me to wear anything out of my age or style....lol)

I don't think anyone would stare at me for how I'm dressed anymore and that's exactly how I want it!

HUGGS!

VIV!

Oh my - I thought we had lost you!

YES - I was in Dilliard's today (our regional bid department store). Laura Ashley - I was checking the sizes - my how quickley we learn to navigate to name brands! I LOVE their spring skirts and blouses!

And the girls out in sandals with their manicured toes! And new handbags! And everyother woman in a pony tail for the spring weather now! 84 degrees here.

I MUST get to the Mall and look on my own - I need to think SPRING rather than summer!

Age appropriate? Yes. BUT

The big difference? Now we wear our clothes. Wear them everywhere! We can justify paying a higher price - because our dresses and skirts are real for us - not a 'costume' like CDing.l

So liberating!

I must say, my style has matured as I've grown. When I first started it was all pink and girlie girl stuff and Hello Kitty, then it progressed to goth/industrial with a lot of corsets and fishnets and short skirts and combat boots. Now I'm doing a more traditional female style dress with jeans and tshirts or cute tops. A lot more conservative than what I used to wear but now instead of always turning heads because my style was so drastic, I'm only turning heads now as people think "wow, she's really tall." I've even taken out most of my body piercings. I just have a few now but it's more in line with what most girls my age would have if they were a little wild a few years ago but decided to tone it down some.

Looking back at some of my older photos, I'm not embarrassed. I was evolving and I'd like to think I was just going through phases of finding my identity before I finally found it and could perfect it. :)

Being a more mature and to say the least Statuesque woman I have begun to pay a lot more attention to the types of clothing that Bea Arthur wore on the Golden Girls rather than what Jennifer Aniston wore on friends - one is tall with broad shoulders and very mature - elegant with a regal pasture while the other is young, tiny and more effervescent.

I love tunics - they help to draw attention away from your shoulders.

Love ya,

Sally

I am strongly of the opinion that a woman can look wonderful as she matures nor does she need to be pencil-thin to be attractive. So much of it is attitude, how we project to others and how we carry ourselves, and it doesn't hurt to have a flair for fashion and color. I have a classic "Rubens" female body myself----there was once a time when this was the standard of beauty for the female form in contrast to the angular, muscled body of a man. I love that as I age my body is softer, curvier and rounded and I love to wear clothes that say I have the body of a woman.

Am I dressing too young? I think so, but it feels too good!

Last week I was out in a mid-thigh denim skort, a plaid blouse, jean jacket, and 2-inch heeled sandals. I am celebrating my renewed body, feeling much younger than I really am. Don't know how age-appropriate that is, but it does feel right for now.

Love, Kat

My kitty has a litter box, which she uses on occasion.  But she prefers to make me get up to led her out. I could install a "cat door" but I'm afraid it would be used more by the possums and raccoons.  I have had possums in the house more than once - even without one.

Isn't it amazing, how animals have it all over us!   Good luck!

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
