Skinny Fit Jeans

So I found a lovely pair of skinny jeans that I can only get online and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

I haven't really crossdressed in the past year, but when I did I wore size 14. However, these were usually fairly plain trousers in a baggy style since I was unsure.

I wear a mens' 32" waist, with a little room to spare. I recently bought a mens' 32" 'slim fit' and they're plenty comfortable.

So, I'm just wondering.. can I get away with girls size 14 skinny jeans? According to sizing charts they suit a 32" waist, but I'm a little concerned about the consequences of 'skinny fit'.. am I likely to have.. "comfort" issues? Perhaps I would be safer with a 16? I'm quite keen on them because I'm hoping they'll offer shape benefits and if they fit well the design is neutral enough for me to get away with day to day.

Hi, tey,

Agree with Viv, go by our hips, I have 38 hips and 30 waist, I get juniors 9 or 11, or womans 8 (sits below the waist). I never buy the "at the waist" or "high waist pants"

Hi Tey,

I'm sorry I came onto this post so late.

I'm bigger around the waist than you and am wearing size 10 jeans. Have problems with them falling off. So, I'd be thinking size 8. I do wear a size 14 dress because my chest is larger.

That's alright. Being able to say I'm an 8 would be awfully nice but I'm not sure I can believe that!

I sent an email and they said an exchange would be fine if necessary; it'll just take a few days.

Thanks. :)

I think I am the same size as you for male jeans (unsure because haven't worn one in ageeeeess) :) For me, I go from around size 32 male jeans to a size 10. One thing I must let you know that if you go a bit bigger female jeans, it could end up looking like male jeans (happened to me once) x_X so, try different sizes on in store.

One thing you'll have to be careful about is the length, if you're tall, some skinny jeans may not fit you in length as in it might end up looking like a perfect size but if you move around, it go up and make itself look like a 3/4 jeans.

For me, I ditched the skinny jeans and started wearing tight boot legs jeans which is usually longer than normal female jeans length. :P

I also have a 32" waist....

I buy the pegged skinny jeans and someone has to help me get out of them sometimes!...lol

But, some of the size 10's fit and some of the size 12's fit...sometimes neither fit...I try them all on first (Or measure them)

I wear the higher rise ones that has the belt loop above my belly button!

Whether I am presenting as a girl or a guy, I absolutely love skinny jeans! I was 5 foot 11 inch, 173-76 pounds, and wore 32 x 32 mens pants and misses 10 (juniors 11) before my gender dysphoria manifest itself in early 2009. A little over a year and four months on hormones later, I am down to 144-46 pounds now and wear a misses 6 or 8 (juniors 9).

I think the sizing on this brand is a little off; the shop recommended sizing up anyway. But, the 12s fit and are pretty comfortable, the waist is elasticated. I'd be tempted to get a 10 next time for comparison but these are comfy and I love them :).

It's like having my legs huggled.

Thanks for the advice all!

Hi Tey,

Sorry for the late reply. Skinny jeans come in a lot of different styles and materials, like normal skinny, super skinny (more tighter than normal one), and super skinny legging (feels like leggings). They also come with low rise or higher rise depends on what style you like. Materials do come with lots of variety like normal denim, stretchy denim, very stretchy denim.... stretchy ones you can have the size a bit smaller. On the other hand, some brands do shrink a bit after the first wash, so you may need to ask if they are pre-shrunk or not. I find skinnies are very comfortable and looks great and we girls do looks good in them as our hips always a bit smaller than GG.
