How Many Feel A Need For Complete Surgery?

Hi everyone. Just asking this question because I am a transman ...that until I can find a way to complete my surgery...not sure how to deal. But when I have put that out to the trans community in my state, they look at me ...like I'm nuts. Even on the forums that I deal with....No one talks about their need for surgery. I know ...being ftm, that kind of money..for my surgeries....I can only dream about. And at the same time...it's the one thing that holds me back....from having the life I want. Every night...I think about...how great it would feel...to have the body parts that would make me a complete man....knowing....that I will never have the money it takes. I know the lines have gotten blurred from transsexual and transgendered. But, is there anyone else out there.....that you are feeling like your life is on hold....just because.....the money isn't there?

A bit yeah. I try not to let myself go down those avenues of thought though, because it inevitably ends up making me very frustrated.

Wait. I'm probably one of the poorest of the poor boys. And I'm not sure where you are on your journey as far as the other stuff. But I was one that "every" body was like you gotta have money to do this or money to do that , or at least credit, blah blah, and there was "a way". Not sayin the same way might work for everybody but I'm sayin don't quit without at least going up to bat. Don't decide the door is locked without reaally attempting and finding out what can be done. At this point I actually have accomplished everything but the final surgery. And you better bet I'm still tryin to figure out how. I know there's a way. There's a way to do everything. Whether its sign up for the clinical trial or whatever lol there is a way if you want it that bad.

Hi Evan. I'm in the same boat as you. Been looking for clinical trials...surgeons that will do my surgerey to make a name for themselves...all that crap. But in the end...money talks..and that sucks. I just wish all the people that see trans surgeries...as cosmetic...could just walk a day in my shoes....Deal with all the crap.....then let's see how you feel about it!

Yeah, and cosmetic/plastic surgery connotes "fake" (e.g., breast implants), and I wish the surgeries were more "natural." If the surgeries were seen as medical and not cosmetic, they might have been more advanced by now than they are...

This is a huge part of my problem, in a way. Once I begin the journey down this path, for me it has to end with the complete transformation.
