Facial Changes?

I was wondering how does hrt make the face more feminized? I know bone structure is not affected. I know fat is added to the cheeks and there are skin changes, but what about the the rest of the face?lips?chin/jaw?eyes?nose?does it take something away from the lower part of the face? Thanks guys!!!

I'm very early in this process, having been on HRT for around 5 months and what I've seen is my face looks thinner overall. My cheekbones have become much more prominent (yaaaay!) due to shrinkage of the tissue right below them. This change in the hollows of my cheeks has caused people I work with to become concerned about my health. I get a few comments that "I look gaunt". I consider those compliments, but I'm not out to everyone quite yet.

I've also noticed that my lips are slowly filling in. This is a huge deal for me, since I used to use lip liner to draw my lips on when I cross-dressed in the past. I was seemingly born without lips. :) The lower lip is the fullest, but the upper lip is beginning to show more. It has really changed my smile, although even my wife hasn't noticed.

My skin is waaaay softer and I'm getting new "female wrinkles" in my face that are appropriate for my age, related to this thinning. I have been very dutiful in applying good quality feminine moisturizers and wrinkle creams.

The area under my chin where my throat begins seems to be filling in a little. I was told that this can do a good job of obscuring my adams apple, which is now showing less, it seems.

In the old days, I looked a lot like a man with makeup on, but now I'm looking more like a pretty woman and I'm thrilled about it.

More experienced sisters here say that some of the biggest changes come between year one and year two. I'm enjoying looking in the mirror now. I used to hate it.

I'm pretty with my makeup done and my wig on and I couldn't be happier. I'm not getting "ma'amed" yet in male mode, that's my next goal.

Hugs,

Becky

Well......

The face does obviously change...

I know that the bone structure doesn't change, it's the fat that layers on in "female" places...like the cheeks...

This is why we always say....let HRT do it's work before considering FFS...

Most girls won't need FFS after a time on HRT...

Check my pictures here...

At 7 months and at 14 months HRT...

See the difference? (I'm 60)

Don't discount how much your face will change!

I've wondered about this too. I've had some people in person mention that they can see changes in my face and a couple people here mentioned it to me over the last few days. I don't see much change in myself so I'm not sure what they mean by something changed either.

Honey.......

The changes are very subtle...

You, and people that see you daily, may not notice anything...

The ones that see you occasionally will be where you get the most comments...

The ones that see you daily may notice something and you may get comments on your new shirt, haircut or some other thing...They know that something has changed...they just can't put their finger on it!
