Day of Silence

My niece just told me that she participated in this student-run event in honor of me! I was really touched! She had to go the entire school day without talking (which for her is a challenge in itself). She even had a pass (from someone, the coordinator I guess) excusing her from participating in class discussions or if a teacher would call on her. She didn't tell me if any of her friends tried to make her talk but she was really proud to do this and do it for me.

:D

Gee, Lizzie......

I'll bet that you're really honored with that.

I really had no idea of that going on!

Thanks for this post...I love uplifting things like this!

HUGGS!

Congratulations Lizzy,

Your nieces public acceptance of you had to have made you feel very warm inside and proud. I just love the way that the younger generation seems to be much more open mined than when I grew up. Evolution in progress.

Take Care, Love Chandra

Neither did I. I had to look it up after she told me. :)
