My Love's

I know that being transgendered is a very tough road. Gosh, many times I have felt...why am I this way? I have prayed to God sometimes to let me go and let me be comfortable in the gender that I was born. I have been so frustrated that I even feel the need to transition. What did I do wrong in my life to deserve this?

I want you to know that nothing in my life has been easy. I have had setback after setback. I have suffered rejection on a level that I hope many do not ever have to know.

In spite of all of this.. I continue to have hope in myself and in all the people around me.

All that I can really give to you all is my hope.

I love all of you

Love

Brenda,

Sometimes hope is all we have and it is shaken along with our faith when we are rejected by the ones that we love and respect the most.

You know the depths of my depression from time to time about as well as anyone and you have seen me pull through with your help and my other wonderful friends here and now I am being given that second chance that we all hope for.

I am starting over in a new city where my roommate is totally accepting (why not she's on of my closest tg girlfriends) and I will be female except at work - full time at last!

Never give up because as they say good things come to those who wait.

Love ya,

Sally

Brenda,

Your hope can be contagious at times, and has brought me though a lot of hard times. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way either :) Hope can be a powerful, unstoppable force in some people, and I have a feeling you are one of those people.

I actually considered the name Hope for a while

but despite wanting something flashier

Naomi is who I am

and I am finally starting to feel okay with that

but I do know hope

even in my darkest despair she was with me

and when I couldn't see her

I found her on this site

in the words of dear friends like you

thank you for that

p.s. I guess this is as good a thread as any to announce today's good news

so, I finally got my ears pierced :D

although I do want a couple more piercings

I could only afford the two for now

so today has been a pretty good day

Hope.......

It's what the community thrives on.....

We hope......

That we can get our hormones...

That we can pass...

That we'll be accepted...

That we'll finally be happy....

Hope is the water we drink here.....

Without hope there would be no use to even try...

HOPE:

Use it liberally!

Use it often!

Hopefully yours....

Thank you for that. Sometimes I forget that hope is what drives us forward and helps us to take some risks and make hard choices. It is a beautiful thing, hope.

Dearest Brenda,

I just wanted to personally thank you for the hope you gave me. Your response to my first intro post hit me like a ton of bricks.

Somehow you knew me to a tee, with out knowing me at all. It struck me as so uncanny that you had the intuition to know exactly where I was at. This is something I will never forget. You instilled hope in me that was never there before, it was so potent it changed my life.

You said all you have to give us is your hope, well that dear Brenda is one of the most powerfull driving force of human existence and you share it very skillfully, most lovingly and unselfishly my friend.

Love, Chandra

To have Hope is to understand that one has a future. And that is probably one of the most important facets we have as humans. That we believe there will be a tomorrow, and we can plan even in some minute way, for it. It's a belief that this imperfect present will pass and there is a chance of a better future. Not a guarantee, not a finality, but a chance.

Sometimes in the darkest hour, it's all that we do have. But it can be just enough to get us by.

And to me, that's an important part of this site. To give hope to others who think their's is almost gone. We may not be able to solve a lot of problems presented, but by being here, and listening and even by being Pollyanna-ish, we can be that lifeline that restores hope in those that feel things in their lives are verging on hopeless.

I found the following in a search

Hope is what is left when all else fails

It is the lifeline thrown to you when you need it most

It is the dam in your flood of tears

It is the stick to hold you up when you are bent double,

Beside yourself with the weight of the world on your shoulders

It is the blind faith when you desperately want someone to hold your hand

and guide you through to better times.

Hope is a glorious thing we humans value

It is what you need in your darkest hour

It pushes you on like the cold wet nose of a canine pal you keep close.

Hugs,

Chloë

Brenda, I so much understand where you are. Cliche, but you are not alone. I believe in god, a kind and loving god. I think that it is only the inability of ourselves and other humans to accept us that stands in the way. Not that life is supposed to be easy: I think this world is one big classroom. We have to pass the test. I suggest you think that maybe god placed you in the AP Advanced Placement Test. This means the test is the toughest because she expects the most from you. She knows you can do it. Pass the test, I know you can. Love Misha
