Okay. So I thought that I would post another thread explaining this!!

I have to do this in links, so bear with me

There is a LOT of information here... So what I am going to do for YOUR benefit is make the category bigger in size and then you can scan through them

Sizes

Let's start off with the sizing!! :)

Don't like the small boring size?

There are 7 different ones, 7 being the largest!! *facepalm* Duuuhhhhhhhh Geo :P

Anyways!!

Click the Sizes Icon:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2lx9ks4.jpg

Pick the size you would like!!

For this I am going to use size 7!!

After you click the size you want this will pop up:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2s97pqv.jpg

When you want to write something make sure that you write within the quotes like this:

http://i46.tinypic.com/i796jp.jpg

I find that putting a space between the quotes and the wording is a good idea because there is a better chance that the words show up and NOT the . I have tried to do it once and all that showed up was my wording but not the way I wanted it to look

When you hit reply it will show up like this:

YAY! That is great!!

Colors

Now let's do colors!!!! I love colors!!!

Pick the color you want by clicking on the A:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2ecpwyx.jpg

There are many colors as you can see

Pick the color you would like. I will pick pink

This is what will show up:

http://i46.tinypic.com/2hpsopu.jpg

Again make sure to type within the quotes!!!

http://i48.tinypic.com/11kl27n.jpg

Again try the space thing!!

This is what it will look like:

YAY!! This is great!!

Fonts

Now for the Fonts!!

Click on the fonts button. Pick any ol' font!!

http://i49.tinypic.com/53tkwx.jpg

I will choose my favorite one for this: Arial Narrow.

This is what will show up:

http://i50.tinypic.com/wuj91c.jpg

Again make sure to write within the quotes!!! Also, try the spacing again!!

This is what it will look like when you post:

YAY!! This is great!!!

Sizes, Colors and Fonts

Now this next part is how to do them ALL together so that you have YAY!! This is great!!! in Size 7, Pink color, and in Arial Narrow!!

Pick the size that you want:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2lx9ks4.jpg

Then you are going to have to put space in between the two quotes like this:

http://i45.tinypic.com/ngu3hu.jpg

Now pick your color:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2ecpwyx.jpg

Then click so that you are in between the two Size quotes so that the color quotes show up in between them like this:

http://i47.tinypic.com/33ynuoy.jpg

Then put spaces in between the color quotes like this:

http://i49.tinypic.com/33n8d92.jpg

The pick your font:

http://i49.tinypic.com/53tkwx.jpg

Then when you click on it make sure that it is in between the color quotes like this:

http://i49.tinypic.com/2cz5wmr.jpg

Then make sure that you put spaces in between the font quotes like this:

http://i47.tinypic.com/313ll35.jpg

Okay now the next few steps are easier!!:lol:

I am going to use less pictures for this part

Make sure that everything looks like this (without the Yay!! This is great!!! part):

http://i49.tinypic.com/10s7vvb.jpg

Also noticed how I spaced the quotes from each other:

http://i49.tinypic.com/x6iozp.jpg

Yes I know my circling is very horrible!!

Notice the space in between the top set of quotes and the bottom set? That is where you will type :D

Like this:

http://i48.tinypic.com/2817hnm.jpg

Oh you may want to hit reply with the page looking like this:

http://i50.tinypic.com/2z6fmmu.jpg

Then when you hit reply this is what will show up:

YAY!! This is great!!!

There you go!!

Now there are some other things as well!!!

Strike Through

How to do this:

Kewl eh?

(I have to thank Matt for this because he taught me how  )

You will notice next to the U a lower case a and upper case A button click on that and you will see strikethrough.

http://i45.tinypic.com/ae02l1.jpg

Click on that and this will show up:

http://i46.tinypic.com/2z7jsdv.jpg

Just write what you want inside the quotes ( I think you got the hang of it by now so I won't show a picture )

This is how it will show up when you post your reply:

Wow I didn't know I could to this

Bold

Now for Bold:

Click the b at the top and this will show up:

http://i49.tinypic.com/30jpn50.jpg

This is how it will look when you post it:

I am so bold :P

Italic

Click on the i for italic and this will show up:

http://i47.tinypic.com/n4v7km.jpg

This is how it will show up:

YAY

Underline

Click the underlined U and this will show up:

http://i50.tinypic.com/34s0212.jpg

This is how it will look when you post:

Yay

Emoticons

Also did you know that you can pop out the Emoticons?

Just click the show all at the left:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2vjzuyh.jpg

And then this will happen

http://i50.tinypic.com/2iqd0g7.jpg

It even get's it's own little window as you can see :P

Quotes

Now to quote something:

There is a quote button, click that and this will show up:

http://i47.tinypic.com/drcf0x.jpg

When you post your reply this will show up:

Just as though you were quoting someone on a thread :)

Links

If you want to insert a link click the little plus sign icon and then type in the link into the box that pops up.

I have never used this before so bear with me with the way that it comes out

I am just going to link to the The Main Page of the Forum, er the Index!!

Visit Laura's Index

Bear with me on that please because I am unsure how it will look...

Images

Never used this either

Click on the little picture Icon and this will pop up:

http://i47.tinypic.com/k4b66e.jpg

OOOO Great chance to show off my new shirt

2193150.jpg

I hope it works

Quote Tags

I don't know what quote tags are but here goes with this one:

Click on the scroll looking icon next to the Quote Icon this will show up:

http://i49.tinypic.com/mwxrpk.jpg

This is how it'll look when you post:

I wonder how this will look...

Center Your Words

Over to the right you will see the paragraph icons.

Click the center icon and this will pop up:

http://i47.tinypic.com/szk1ed.jpg

When you reply it will show up like this:

Just like this.

Align Left

Click the Align Left Icon and this will pop up:

http://i50.tinypic.com/2djuqko.jpg

When you post it'll look like this:

Just like this

Align Right

Click the Align Right Icon and this will pop up:

http://i50.tinypic.com/2hrogat.jpg

This is how it will look:

Just like this

Indent

Click the Indent Icon (it's right next to Align Left) and this pops up:

http://i48.tinypic.com/120mnox.jpg

And this is how it will show up when you post:

Just like this my friends

Insert Lists

There are two ways to do this. With numbers or with dots.

Click either the Numbers insert list or the dots insert list.

http://i47.tinypic.com/2duwosp.jpg

After clicking the numbers icon, a box will pop up:

http://i46.tinypic.com/5yb29w.jpg

Write in the box the first thing in your list.

I will make a little list here to show you what it looks like

  1. hungry
  2. Fun
  3. Phone
  4. Computer

Now my list is just random stuff that came to mind.

That was the numbers list. :)

So the same thing pops up for the dots. So all I'll do is make a list with that :)

  • Cats
  • Dogs
  • Kitties
  • Puppies

Undo/Redo

Can't say too much on this except that if you accidentally deleted something you can hit undo and if you did something er needs redoing click that

http://i47.tinypic.com/2m27yti.jpg

Note: If I missed anything feel free to let me know and I will add to this

I hope this was helpful or will be helpful and I am sorry that it's sooooooooooo long but I didn't know any other way :)

*hugs*

When you hit reply it will show up like this:

YAY! That is great!!

I do realize now that I made a mistake and I am sorry for that  I had gone back and inserted some stuff and then forgot to fix everything else accordingly.

Whew! I'm exhausted. Thanks, again Lee Asher. I'm expecting all sorts of colorful and interesting posts now.

One more thing you need to demonstrate, hon. How not to write a 3,000 word post with no paragraph breaks, or spacing, or punctuation.

A few more of those to review and I'll need a new appointment with my eye doctor. ;)

Emotional stability is a personality trait that describes how calm, collected, and emotionally consistent someone is. It's the opposite of neuroticism, which is a personality trait that describes how much negative affect, emotional volatility, and mood fluctuation a person displays.

I'm lucky. I have both. For therapists, the Psychology Today is a good source, as is the resource section here at TP.  BOTH are soi vital.

Hello @The Lake, Welcome to our forum. I’m intrigued by your introduction and would enjoy reading more about your backstory. We all have very unique journeys and yours is not one I have come across often. As you become more comfortable with our community, maybe you could share more aout how your gender identity evolved, what difficulties you confronted and endured and what some of your successes were along the way. Also, do you see yourself involved in a future transition of roles, presentation, social, physical, or something else entirely? There is never any pressure to share a thing here. So feel free to share as little or as much as you like. We are a very open-minded nonjudgmental group who enjoy learning new things from our members.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Welcome @gizgizgizzie, It’s nice to have you in the fold. We are a very diverse group so you’ll fit in just fine. Right now, society at large is getting bombarded with misinformation, bait and switch tactics, propaganda and lies so it’s no wonder no one can get it right. I don’t come out and explain things about my gender identity as much these days but when I do it’s amazing how little these people know about our transgender community in 2024.   Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I hope to learn more about you as you become more acclimated and active within our forum.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Speaking of hair days…for me, hair has always been the part of my presentation that had the most impact on my overall view of myself. It was much worse for me earlier in my transition. I enjoy experimenting with new hair styles so once in a while, I’ll end up completely redoing my hair because it somehow reminded me of my old self. Self image is a strange yet powerful thing and it take a lot of time and effort to change it.

I am working on a solo music project and I decided a few years ago I wanted to do female lead vocals. I’ve played instrumental music most of my life and sung as a male, mostly backup and harmony though, but very little lead. I never liked my male voice. People always clocked me as female on the phone so I’ve always had a more feminine voice. A little over two years ago I started training my female voice to sing and it has been a lot of fun, though I’m still not where I want to be. Consistency is my biggest challenge.    I try to make practice fun or I don’t stick with it. So I do a lot of singing along with my favorite cover songs…I use a vocal fader, and practice with a microphone, and often just record the blend with my phone to evaluate where I’m at and see what I need to work on. If possible I find karaoke mixes on YouTube where the lead vocal is removed and sing along to that.   I’m not sure I can offer much advice, I just do a lot of listening back and adjusting my technique and practicing until I like how I sound. Just a lot of practice. It will probably take longer than you hope to get where you want to be :) High notes will be challenging but every singer has to build up the muscles and technique and breath support and stretch the vocal chords and then their range will expand. My higher notes are in tune, but often sound strained, probably because they are. Some of that is tensing up in anticipation which I need to train myself out of doing.    I think “trans voice lessons” on YouTube is one of the best channels for tips and theory. Once you’ve found your singing voice and have that relatively consistent, pretty much it’s just working on technique, styling, articulation, range, like any singer would.
