Well That Was A Lovely Half-day

I just got back from a lovely 1/2 day out. I got all dolled up and went down to the salon to get my hair trimmed and my bangs fixed. The most recent pic of me with the really short bangs, yeah, that's because I tried to cut them myself and made them too short. I had to wait awhile to have them grow out so she could even them out and cut them correctly. She also made them thinner, since my hair is so thick, so they're more wispy. I like them!

After that I headed up to the mall to Lane Bryant to get 2 jewelry pieces I saw in a mini-catalog they sent me. Non-allergenic hoop earrings and a 3-ring necklace. I also had a $15 off coupon so the whole thing totaled less than twenty dollars. Score! After that I headed down a few stores to Victoria's Secret. There was a perfume that I love but I don't exactly remember the name and I needed to take a test smell before buying anything. So I tried out what I thought was the correct scent and it probably was but it seemed too heavy for summer. The lady that initially greeted me suggested Very Sexy, which I commented is also rather heavy for summer. She agreed but then added "it also has pheremones......" which got me thinking about the possibilities but then I decided against it. I did end up buying a large bottle of Pink spray mist and Heavenly Flowers spray mist. The guy at the counter (what? a guy working at V.S.? inconceiveable!) said that if I spend $10 more dollars I could get this spiffy (I thought it was ugly) summer tote. I decided against it.

After that I came home for an hour and went through the package from JC Penney that arrived today. (it's like Christmas today!!) 2 tank tops, 2 casual shirts, 2 unmentionables..one that fits great, one that doesn't so I have to return that)

Once that hour passed and headed back out to the nail salon and got a pedicure. I got it in a turquoise color which I just found out is the new "in" color for June. While I was sitting at the nail dryer the lady next to me asked "Are you going to be wearing a dress of that color?" I said "No. No. I just thought it would be a fun color for summer." She replied "Well it is a fun color." We smiled.

Came home and...well...the end!

Me now with poofier bangs. Oh my hair was pulled up when I was taking these pics because it was so blasted hot out!

Oh and my stylist, who had never seen me before in girl mode until today, said my makeup looked perfect.
