As I am getting ready to go get more of that un-wanted hair removed from my face I can only think my 20 to 30 minute session doesn't compare to the 3 hour tour of pain Dee Jay is about to go through. Good Luck today Dee Jay.

Ouch Dee Jay!!

But as has always been said-being a woman is all about pain.

Good luck today. Each step brings you closer to your dream!!

Hey Sarah,

I am glad that you are making progress with the hair removal - don't try to compare yourself to Dee Jay - I think that she is going to miss these sessions (I worry about her sometimes)

I hope that your face doesn't look too bad right after each session - some people complain of swelling and excessive redness from laser treatments.

Love ya,

Sally

I only have a little redness after each session but it goes away within a couple of hours. It is all worth it to get rid of my facial hair.

Just got through my session but I was wrong in the amount of times I have gone. This was my 7th session. A little red but well worth it if more hair goes away for good

I started last may. The place I go only sees you once every 12 weeks after your third session to allow hair re-growth. I just forgot the amount of times gone.

Good luck, Sarah.

I have my sixth coming up in two weeks. It seems to be thinning out, but not nearly to the point where I can stop shaving.

I sure hope this is worth the cost. But you're right, better the 30 minutes than what Dee Jay and others go through with

electro.

errrr... girls (and JJ)

I just got back from an evaluation from my new electrolysis tech. She is nice and - well - sometimes I think I pass to well. She thinks I am female and was giving me advice - she herself said she got into the field because she had so much facial hair - very sympathetic.

I have only had previous work on my upper lip and my eyebrows. About 12 hours worth. Never had my face done so I was apprehensive.

She said she can clear my beard in about an hour - but we scheduled for two next week.

SALLY - don't tell those girls about the pain! Let them be surprised... hee hee. Actually, only the moustache and the eyebrows are really are painful - and that is in the sensitive areas like the under-nose area and in the thinner areas on the brows. It's tolerable and - IT IS WORTH IT!

Lizzy

Ummmm... Dee Jay does three hour sessions - is there this morning! She does have redness sometimes. I have it maybe for 30 minutes. Most people do well with electrolysis - its just so expensive!

I have my 10th session on the 23rd, but I go every 4 weeks. And I'm really starting to see a difference. Just wish I didn't have so much grey it would go faster

Like a previous post I made, I am about to start electrolysis also. I can't wait any longer to get rid of my facial hair, chest and belly hair. The sooner I get rid of it the better I will feel about myself and appearance. Maybe then I will show my face to everyone.

You can't possibly bee any worse off than me. I don't have alot of hair on the rest of my body but have always had a very full beard. 17 laser sessions and 24 hours of electro and I can STILL grow a beard like the Geico caveman :(

Wait for HRT - it gets rid of body hair (other than head, pubic, underarm and beard). TOTALLY lost the hair on my arms, legs and belly button. Never had it on my chest ot back. AMAZING what HRT does

Seconding what Elizabeth_K said. I know different people, respond differently to HRT, but about six months into it and I have noticed a thinning of the fine hair on my fore arms. It's been a long time now that I shave my body, so I have a pretty good idea of how it feels between shaves. (Under arms every days, I alternate between my belly & legs every other day and take the weekend s off). Not that I want try, but I am sure I could go a week no problem without shaving. The hair grows much slower and all that gross coarse hair is like gone.

With the cost of laser, it really is worth waiting to see how you respond to HRT before you do anything about body hair besides your face.

I'll THIRD what Elizabeth said about body hair. I WAS the Geico caveman on my body before hormones and after about 7 months, it's fading away. My forearms have become very fine and slow growing and I used to sell it for wig hair back when...

My ankles and lower leg are just smooth all the time, chest is really sparse and fine, so's the belly.

Save your dough on body hair removal until you see what happens. I had an estimate for a bunch of body hair laser treatments and now it's progressing nicely for free.

Hugs,

Becky

Sarah, Hon......

You're getting it done...I really DO want to see a pic soon....OK?

And my 3 hour sessions have been blown all out of proportion...

It's actually two 1 1/2 hour sessions separated by a 15 minute break!.....LOL

I wanna see!
