Yeah......

<------Look over there below my angel....

"Joined 20 June 2008"

Two years ago today.

What was I thinking?

Well, I was thinking that I was miserable, lost, in pain and not knowing where to turn.

Donna Jean came to me again like she always had...

And I said... "Get back in there..." like I always did....

Only, this time she said....

"NO!"

"NEVER AGAIN!"

Uh oh....

Now what?

I went looking for help...

So much garbage on the net...

Then I landed on here...

What's this? No crossdresser pics? People just talking about what their lives were and people caring and supporting others that were lost and miserable?

Oh my! This was EXACTLY what I needed...

I learned so much...I'm not a freak or mentally ill or perverted!

Thank God!

So, I read and read and read....

And I posted and joined in...

A PM came one day from Mary Ellen..."Would you consider being a Mod?"

So I learned the process...

Came out to my wife...

Started therapy...

Started electrolysis....

Got my HRT letter and started...

Got my surgery letter...

Live 90% female now...(100%? soon....soon)

And now?

Here I am two years later and God knows where I might of been without this site...

I've met a number of people from this site, went to Memphis with my best two friends/girlfriends...

Is it all wonderful now?

No, not by a long shot...

People think that transitioning will make their life beautiful, but, for many of us....we simply trade one set of problems for a brand new set of problems...

But, at least now one major hurdle is out of the way and being put behind us...

Two years?

Oh my, where did the time go?

Donna Jean

Dee Jay, your finding Laura's was not only a Godsend to you, it was a Godsend to literally thousands of others whom you touched

with your kindness, your love, and your friendship. I am but one such person who you reached out to in friendship, and my life

has been enriched as a result.

These two years have been filled with changes, drama and happiness for you, and wisdom, laughter, and kindness for us.

I hope you celebrate many, many more anniversaries here. Please don't ever leave. We need you!

Dee Jay,

I am happy you found this site and thus found a place you belonged. And I'm sure I speak for almost all the members here that we are thankful you are here. You bring caring and comfort to those in need. Plus you sprinkle a dash of wisdom to boot. I am glad that you are here with us.

Happy anniversary!!

What a busy two years it's been!

You are so much a part of the heart of Laura's know it's hard to imagine without you.

Finding myslf and Laura's didn't fix the car or pay the bills or stop the taxes coming due but it did fix my heart.

So thank you again for all you contribute and Happy, Happy Anniversary.

Your journey has been as remarkable as you are!

Hugs

JJ

Sweet Donna Jean,

I am so glad you did and so are the thousands of lives you have touched by doing so. Your positive influence has helped more people than you know and you do know that I am one of them.

I would not be where I am today without you and Laura's. You have inspired me to move forward and live my dream.

You are truly a special woman.

I love you dearly,

Becky

Dear Donna Jean,

730 days - thats two years of love and advice and understanding and friendship and ... laughter and crying.

You are a remarkable woman! Just an amazing human being...

It hasn't been easy for anyone, it hasn't been easy for you, but without you in this world, without you on this site, there would have been much more struggling for all of us. You ease the pain. you show the way, and you make us happy in our hearts. You are the best there is!!!

I am proud to call you my friend and my confidant.

Your Elizabeth

My Sweet Donna Jean,

You joined before I did and you were a moderator when I joined, you were also the very first person to reach out to me - you left this prophetic message on my profile, "Hi, Sally. Nice to meet ya! I'm your age, so, maybe we can talk sometime! Best wishes."

Well we have talked some time and time again and I always look forward to each time we do.

You have been my friend, my confidant, my comforter, my guardian angel, my companion, my sister and my savior - I am afraid to think about where I would be if I had never found Laura's and met you.

Everyone who has come to Laura's in those past two years has been touched by that little angel - you have changed so ,many lives and all of us owe you so much.

Thank you for your work here on the forums, for your kind heart and generous nature and fro being my friend.

Love ya,

Sally

wearing my bathing suit at a rocky beach. At the same lake as the one I fell into from the kayak a few weeks ago. Watson (my chihuahua) and I took a nice swim and sunbathed for a little while.

I searched for a bag that felt right and worked for me.  Eventually i found an old leather Coach bag.  I've carried it for over 10 years now.  Occasionally i use Lexol  to revitalize the leather as i did on the tac for horses years ago.  The leather has become soft and the clever fittings on the bag have preventing too much wear.  It's pretty big so perhaps i carry too much.   Hugs,   Charlize

Thank you, friend. It means much.

Home crumbed chicken schnitzel, with scalloped potatoes, peas & corn.   We try to plan our dinner meals ahead for the week, so getting in early - tomorrow night will be lamb chump chops baked in the oven with a honey/soy marinade. In the same dish will be potato and pumpkin segments. The other veges will be string beans and cauliflower.

Yep.   I sometimes get busy on another forum which has a wide array of general interest subforums. Everything from politics to tech to money to sport. There have been plenty of times where I have quoted people and given examples which demonstrate why their posts were either bollocks or at least tangential to the thread title, only to have my reply hidden because it was deemed to be off-topic...yet their off-topic post that I quoted remained intact!    Freedom of speech per se should be upheld, BUT...is it just me, or does it sometimes seem like the biggest proponents of it prioritize their 'rights' over their responsibilities? Maybe it is just me, but does anyone else feel like there is a cohort of people out there (not here!) who defend their hate speech under the guise of free speech? Whether it be on an internet forum or in real life, there must be rules and regulations.   Our moderators here do a truly fantastic job, and this forum really is a rare treasure. What helps is that above everything that does get discussed including the differing opinions at times on non-core issues, we are all on the same side!

Good morning everyone,    It’s a dog life thing, with a puppy influence. We slept until 06:00 at which time Parker made his first soft bark from inside his crate. I got up and got ready to go outside so he could take care of business and potty. Then we played with his favorite toy 🧸 and tug of war and fetch. Coffee has finished brewing and my first cup is flavorful Folgers Black Silk.    I hope you have a wonderful day and can be who you were meant to be.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

In the U.S. Monday is Memorial Day. Do you celebrate and/or honor those who served?

Self-compassion is simply the process of turning compassion inward. We're kind and understanding rather than harshly self-critical when we fail, make mistakes, or feel inadequate. We give ourselves support and encouragement rather than being cold or judgmental when challenges and difficulties arise in our lives.
