Hmmmm.

Never heard of 'em, Hon.....

They are kinda like Tracphone but you pay like you would with Sprint, AT&T, Verizon...

Good thing you never heard of them! Now you know not to get a cell from them xD

Is the problem just today? It's a really busy day and systems get overloaded so the support isn't good.

Otherwise I can't help. We go ATT-not my favorite people but they've been better than others in coverage and service-so far.

I had them a couple of years ago and the phone dies within a year it was pay as you go back then. They went through management changes this year.

I then bought prepaid minutes from "trakfone". The phone I bought has double minutes for life. On a happy note I don't have to run outside of buildings to get a connection like many have to. I'm very pleased with them.

I also use a Tracfone...

It's all that I have...

I don't chat on the phone and I keep it charged and in my purse at all times for emergency..

Came in handy when I broke down in Louisville on my way to Memphis last Sept.

I only pay for what I use..(pay in advance)

We had a Tracphone and were happy with it but my daughter reconnected with her old fiance, they fell in love again and their 6 hour a night calls were free for both if we had ATT like he did so we switched.

We started with pay as you go but people at her new job text and call employees all day long and it got ceaper to go with a plan. The good thing is she got one of those $350 military grade phones-water-resistant you can drop it 6 stories, etc. for $19. I threaten to hhave some sort of clip surgically attached to her body so she doesn't have to keep carying that phone around from pocket to holder, etc.

I'm old enough to miss those golden days when you could escape the phone by going outside. Ah solitude. People are appalled because I still frequently turn off the phone all day if I'm feeling anti-social or stressed.

Hey, my friends can always find me one place or another online. That Never gets turned off.

Yes, I use Virgin Mobile. I've actually had the same phone (my first phone, actually, so I don't really have any basis of comparison) for the past five years. I have not really ever experience any problems with them. Decent coverage, I'm able to use it when I need to (which is not very often), and the money I pay is based on the amount of time I do use it. works for me.

Then again, I have never tried to switch phones before. ;)

Making the call was difficult! The little machine thing kept hanging up on me <_< I was like gah!! I finally got through and was able to switch the phone over. :) YAY!!

But they are difficult to deal with all around!! I can't believe the battery just died like that <_<

AT&T is too much for me to afford. I have to stick with Virgin Mobile until I can get Straight Talk >.<

I have one. I just don't have enough minutes on it to do anything. I also have double for life minutes but I can't use it because I am always on the phone texting or calling someone  I am thinking about getting Straight Talk because then I can get unlimited everything for cheap and if I have an issue with the phone then I can just go to Wal-Mart and be like give me a new phone you broke it

That's what I love about the Tracfone because then it's not a waste  But it can be expensive for me

Used to have them; don't like prepaid.

Why don't you like them?

Just not for me. Granted I hardly use my phone for actual phone calls lol so in that sense prepaid would be better for me. But I want unlimited text and data and don't wanna worry about having a limit on that. Also I just prefer the phones and service of companies that provide contracts like Sprint and Verizon.

There are prepaid where you can get unlimited text and data plans. Just saying :P

I hate contracts!!! It means that if something happens you are still stuck with them no matter what  You can't shut them off!!!

Prepaid is more expensive in terms of voice usage... most of the minutes I use are unlimited nights and weekends so with a contract I'm paying mostly to have unlimited voice. In that sense prepaid would cost more. But like I said I don't use a lot of my limited minutes - I get 450 a month - so that's where prepaid would cost less. It's really a toss-up but being that I am going to a new school and hopefully my social life will improve when I am on T... lol... I will be using it more as an actual phone :P and in that case it would be more worth it for me to have a contract.

I'm having some issues finding a new plan cuz my contract is up this October... and my mom thinks it's stupid to be paying as much as my parents are for my phone bill when I hardly use any of the 450 minutes... so it would be more worthwhile to have a family plan but my family can't agree on anything :P My dad and I are probably gonna share T-Mobile cuz it's the cheapest and he talks on the phone a lot. I did some calculations and if I had prepaid on T-Mobile it would cost about $65/month (with data plan.) Right now I'm paying about $50-55 (incl. the taxes, surcharges, etc. - NO data plan) and my dad gets a 20% discount on Sprint and Verizon so that's also incl. the discount (I have Verizon.) Now for my dad and I to share a plan (contract) with 750 mins and unlimited text and data on T-Mobile would be $110 + tax. I guess it is almost the same price but as I said that prepaid price is based on what I'm using now- I'm not in school and will probably be using more once I am and actually have a social life  so prepaid would cost MORE than a contract in that case. Also my dad has prepaid right now (Tracfone, actually, and he rather likes it) so he spends just as much if not more than I do each month for his minutes.... so for us to share a contract is our best bet.

Hopefully the math wasn't too confusing lol.
