Boys And Hormone Pills

I'm a 14 year old MTF Trans dealing with a lot and have been tran as long as I can remember (estimate about 4 I realized this.) I cant take it any longer and was thinking about getting some pregnancy pills for the hormones. Right now I'm at a point where I dont care what my therapist/parents/kids really think about the idea but I want some feedback from others like me. My depression/anxiety is skyrocketing and I've had a problem with cutting/suicidal attempts in the past because of issues. I dont want to go down that road again, but I'm afraid what will happen if I dont. How will I feel? I need some pros and cons of using birth control at my age and what you guys think I should do. The other thing is I heard it makes you infertile. I might want to have kids when I'm older and I'm worried about that. Should I just adopt?

Kat is absolutely right, Caseyo. DO NOT go that route. There is no way you're going to get such pills prescribed for you, so you're talking about the Internet or black market. You can't know if you're getting the real thing, or how safe they are, and you can't even be sure they will have the intended effect.

It sounds like you're seeing some type of therapist. If so, have you talked with them about your depression? They can help you with that. The only thing a a doctor would prescribe at your age is a T-blocker so you don't complete your puberty. You could ask your doctor or therapist about that, but even then you will almost certainly need to approval of your parents.

We'll help you deal with the depression and dysphoria, hon. Just try to relax and let us help you. If you really start feeling depressed, please log into Chat and talk to a Mod, or talk to one of the Forum Mods by PM. You'll have access to the PM system with one more post.

We want you to stay safe, hon. Taking unsupervised meds is not being safe.

Hello Caseyo,

The others are right. The amount of estrogen in birth control pills is very slight and it's doubtful that they would have any effect at femmininizing you. It could also open up a bucket of worms with your health. Stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis, etc. Yes, that could happen even to someone as young as you are. Your best bet at this point are T-blockers. Ask your doctor if this is feaseable for you.

As for having children, after an extended period of being on estrogen, you would become sterile. You could have your sperm stored in a sperm bank for future use. That's about your only option other than adopting.

There are some things you could do such as letting your hair grow longer and getting a girls cut. Maybe get some girl's clothing. It's not much but it's a start. :)

.

Honey, I'm sorry to hear about your depression...

The therapist should be able to help you with that, though...

And...no to the B/C pills.

First off, they're by prescription only and you couldn't get them...secondly they won't feminize you.

The others are right...Please talk with your therapist and let them help you....OK?

Hey there

Please don't do this without the help of a doctor. Way too dangerous. We are all here for you so please listen to the advise.

You don't have to resort to hurting yourself either. Feel free to pm me if you want to chat.

Luv Nadine

Casey, I concur with everyone. The most dangerous thing you could do is to self medicate without a doctors instruction and approval. You need to find the patience to wait until you are approved for hormones safely. Please don't do anything that could hurt you.

Dearest Caseyo,

There is no magical shortcut for transitioning. Birth control pills is not the way hon. You must be patient and allow properly prescribed HRT to work.

The other thing is I heard it makes you infertile. I might want to have kids when I'm older and I'm worried about that. Should I just adopt?

these are all concerns that you must consult with your therapist. If you have these concerns then I strongly reccomend that you hold off on HRT until you truely understand what HRT enatails.

At 14... you are a minor... you need your parent's consent for therapy, HRT, etc.

Welcome @Vivelacors!  For myself and many others here it is a similar theme.  But, I can assure it's never too late.  I hope that you will discover that as you explore and connect with more of us on the Forum.    You've already taken the most important first step ... Self-Affirmation.  I am wishing you the best in continuing this process. Deep breaths ... One step at a time

I can remember as a teenager being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and living in the bible belt. It was always a little hard-I think religion is just tricky anyway.    I was referred to a couple of ladies at church by my mum who gave me very good advice.  One has known those who are are trans- and how they approched it.    The other has two people in their life who identify differently. They also gave other ideas to assist me.     I do like ideas though.

If I am leaving the house I will almost always do makeup.  Not over-the-top but enough to feminize my face (eye shadow, mascara), lipstick, and a light cover of a concealer and foundation. I found my favorite lipsticks are Maybelline.  But the concealer/foundation I 'discovered' in Neutrogena Hydro Boost - Hyaluronic Acid based.  For 'older' gals like me I find it moisturizes and doesn't dry into those annoying fine lines (I have enough of those already).    Hopefully, after facial hair removal I might not feel the need as much.

Actually the bill seems to be so thoroughly confusing that I doubt that enforcement is even possible.  It could however incite vigilante style actions.  A false accusation against a "looks challenged" Cis woman is very likely to happen early on.  So what will happen in the case of those situations?  I have a script in mind over the sad average looking daughter of one of the legislators getting tangled into one of those situations.  I don't know whether it would be a comedy or a tragedy at the minute.

I don't know yet. I'm sure there is going to be a big crowd. I also would have to keep up with the kids and probably won't enjoy myself mostly.

I can understand that. My Keurig is used for hot water mostly and when my mom comes. I mostly use a regular coffee maker. I have had that for 5 years now. I had a Bunn but it didn't last long. I also have a French press and rarely use that. I would love to get a cappuccino maker but that is for later on. Starbucks is getting expensive. My kids favorite thing there is the cake pops. I found out that Walmart Neighborhood Market has them. Typical me getting off topic. lol

After many years in denial, I have finally acknowledged my femininity. After quite a long life, so much time has been wasted. Now I feel I am too old to enjoy the freedom I now feel. All I can contribute to those who need to embrace their true gender, be BRAVE and don,t waste time!

Well, welcome M.A. Several of my now grown kids were involved in theater in school.  And one is now a graphic designer.

Wow what a busy day today.  Clearly the summer crowd is coming into town.  Doesn’t hurt that we have a PGA event here.  It is limited to 100 players. But the spectators is where the crowd is.   i alone more than doubled my usual sales.     we keep hearing thunderstorms however they are staying just west of us for now. The storms in western Tennessee right now are supposed to be here in the morning.

Edit: Latest album is called "Drumless". My bad. The name of their tour is Drummer.
