Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Questions

I am making plans to have a abdominal Hysterectomy because if the issue being medical inssurance will cover it. My questions are:

How long does it take after having this done does one have to wait before using a binder? I have a tri top from underworks and even with me being healthy it's a real pain getting on and off.

How long did it take those who work full time and stand up most of the day to be able to go back to work? Light duty is a dream here, the bosses will say you can do light duty but three days back they will forget...

Should I invest in the scar cream? And for those who have used it did it help cut back on the scarring?

For those who have had this done how long did it take to be released from the hospital? My doctor mentioned three days in the hospital with three weeks off from work. Because of the amount of time I have saved up sick/annual leave I really only have exactly three weeks and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to go one day without pay.

Other then those what would make it the least stressful once I get home on myself. I live alone people offered to come over then again these are the same people who forget about me when I had my gallbladder removed. Any help on setting things up would be a great help.

One more thing, I'm pre T waiting for my letter. I am planning the surgery in July If I get my letter before then and start T do I have to mention this to the hospital when they admit me?

DEFINITELY tell the hospital if you're taking it. And be careful about it, if someone in your insurance gets the slightest wiff of "Transsexual trying to pull something over us" they might drop it. I'm not sure how that works. This guy had a similar situation, you might want to see what he did.

I've had the test the other guy mentioned the doctor said I have Uterine fibroids lots of them. As well as some other issues. I've been trying to think hard on the issue. Like waiting after the surgery to start. Right now the idea of waiting is damned frustrating. Both my PCP and my GYN have it marked in history and paper work that I have had issues with this. I actually waited this long since the surgery had been mentioned before because I miss work a lot because of it. Anyway thank you for answering, I'll discuse it with my new primary next visit.
