A little off topic but I remember reading through the fake atlas "Our Dumb World" by The Onion fake news website. Anyways under each country there was a heading and under Canada it said "For United States see page xx"

I'll have to buck the trend and say I didn't like the video. I've seen her before in one of her voice instruction videos, and that was good, but this just left me shaking my head.

1. First and foremost I have not used my old voice in over 2.5 years and I don't intend to ever use it again. I could never do a video like that, it would be too destructive to my own self image.

2. I am not a "Transgender" or a "transsexual" (noun). I am a woman with an unusual medical history.

3. Acting like that only teaches the public that we're only playing with gender and that transsexualism isn't a serious medical issue.

I agree with you that transsexualism needs to be treated with an educated air so that the general public will not be stuck with any wrong ideas such as the whole "Men dressing up as women in order to trick men into bed thing" thing that seems to be so popular in movies nowadays. Whenever I see something like that in a movie I turn it off or walk out, no matter what I paid to view it.

At the same time, however, I think that her willingness to make fun of herself is also a necessity. She is obviously very confident in her gender and that is a good thing to express. Whats more is that her humor is fun and original. In a day and age where everyone laughs at themselves, her presenting transsexualism as a topic that can be loveably laughed at instead of fearingly laughed at is wonderful. What's also great is that the people commenting loved her.

Some of us still aren't completely comfortable with our situations and a video like that hurts to watch. When I started watching and heard the "And not the Female to Male type, 'cause that's just weird" line, I cringed. And then I burst out laughing hysterically. We all need to laugh at ourselves sometimes. *Shrugs.*

I think the entire thing was very tongue-in-cheek, and thus was hilarious. Even if someone uneducated watches this sort of thing, then we could be getting someone to think a little about it... and thinking is almost always good.

i dont know if that video more creeped me out more than it made me laugh had some what of a morrbid humor to it i know many girls that can do that jump between female and thier original male voice my voice was some what reversed i started hormones young 14ish so my vocal cords never developed into a male range and i had to hide it ( long story) so my male voice was the trick i freaked my boy friend out once he told me that he just couldnt believe that i could do a male voice so on the spur of the moment i jumped right back into it he got a strange look on his face and told me to never ever do that again and so i havnt its been so long since i have done it after i watched that video i took a shot at it and realized its completely gone but i still think ppl hat can do it are really talented

myself? i couldn't finish watching the video. i must not have a sense of humor. i didn't find it the least bit funny. i know one thing, if i could have a voice that sounds that good, i would never use that male voice ever again. i want to talk like a girl so bad !!! i've noticed some transgirls have beautiful voices. they talk so natural, without so little effort. or so it seems. all of the voice training help out there want yo charge you money. everybody's always trying to make a quick buck off of us and i'm hesitant to pay for something i have my doubt's about. i know i'm getting off track here and i'm sorry. it's just that i'm impressed with these girls who talk that well.
