Due to recent stress (see other posts), I have began shooting up again along with snorting some pills. I just can deal with this sober anymore I don’t think and, despite this site, I don’t think anyone cares. I just want to fade away or die.

Honey, I'm so sorry to hear this....

You know that you are cared about here....everyone cares and has tried to show it to you...

What you are doing is wrong for you...you gave it up and had a very good start....

I know that you're hurting and I wish that i could do more...

Listen, please call a drug help number and talk to someone, come onto our live chat and talk, PM us and we can try to help...

Please don't get back into this vicious circle...

We do care

I agree with Dee Jay. Please Please Please don't start down this road again. Whatever it takes fight it off. I know drugs might help you get through the day but it won't help you truly. We are here for you if needed. Please seek out some help and kick this in the booty for the last time and stay clean with us here on the site. We are all here for you and really care about you. I don't want to see you hurt yourself.

Penumbra, if you didn't think we cared at all, you wouldn't stil be here talking with us. That

means something. It means that there is a part of you that hasn't given up, that still hopes

there is something better.

You have to want this, hon. You have to want to get better. It has to be the most important, single

goal you have in your life right now.

We have no power to compel you to seek help. That can come from only one place - inside of you.

You've made it this far, you can make it another day.

Listen to me, Penumbra: DYING IS NOT A SOLUTION!!!

Call this hotline number now: 800-662-HELP Please do it for me. Do it for yourself.

Love

There is a common answer to all those who do what you do on Laura's - which is really posting and asking 'why go on?'

Death is permanent. Not a good idea to suicide.

So don't suicide - you are killing that girl in you and she is innocent!

Penumbra, I know where you are coming from. Sometimes it gets so hard you don't think you can make it. I can't tell you how many times I have almost started getting high again. I don't have anyone in my life either, with one exception. My wife. She has been my rock for so long. She kept me on the straight path, and stood by me when I diverted. If you have even one person; a friend, a colleague, a distant relative, or just anyone willing to listen whether you know them or not, please go talk to them. It can help more than you may think. You know that everyone here is behind you 100%. If ever you need to talk you can PM any of us and we will be more than willing to help if we can. Carolyn mentioned one number you can call anonymously, but here is one other you can call too:

1-800-cocaine(262-2463).

Please give one of them a call. I lost my best friend due to drugs. I don't want to hear that we have lost you too.

Your Friend,

Rachael

Someone that I knew killed herself last week. She was addicted to heroin. Inspite of all of our efforts to help her, she would not attempt to help herself. In the end, she died feeling hopeless and not able to kick her habit. Sadly, she did not understand that help was right there in front of her if she would just reach out and touch that help.

Think of yourself 10 20 years from now and what is really possible for you. All of your goals and dreams can be realized if you allow them to be real.

Killing yourself will only confirm that your life had no hope. There is hope. Coninue to live and see how wonderful life can be.

Killing yourself is defeating yourself. You are far more stronger than that.

The treasures of life await you. Life is constantly changing. In time, you will see what I am saying.

Dear Penumbra,

<<<< hug >>>>

I am so sorry to hear that you are using again :(

I know it is hard to quit , but you have to.

I had many bad habits in the past too , but then one day I found something I cared about more than all of them put together.

I started transition, and gave them all up.

All you need to do is find something to replace your desire for doing drugs.

Maybe truly becoming a woman will work for you too, think about it.

As for no one caring, I care , and can't you see all the love others here have for you too.

Be good Pen

Try again

Day 1

With love from,

 vanna

Death is not romantic and please read a book called Reviving Ophelia about young girls like Ophelia in Shakespeare's Hamlet and it gives so much info about how to return to normalcy after the hell of young adulthood,,,remember Ophelia killed herself because she thought Hamlet rejected her love and it was a temporary miscommunication.....So read it and try one more time,,,,,,PLEASE!!!!

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3

That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Congratulations! and Happy Trans Birthday @LittleSam! That is such a BIG milestone.  I can still remember walking out of my clinic with my first HRT presciption.  I was on Cloud-9.  Wishing you all the best in the start of your new Journey!

maebe thank you I try to be. I thank God for blessings, try to share them, beg forgiveness for my shortcomings n vow to try to do better...2 priests have said no, God doesn't condemn you just for being trans...but apparently evangelicals do   I shall vtry dear thank you
    • MaeBe
Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

and just fi sweeten it..I'm catholic n he hasn't been for years..he's evangelical..whatever that is

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.

Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable

As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
