Scared To See A Therapist.

No one here will ever hate you for anything. And it is your life -you know when it will work best for you to go.

You may be in for a surprise. Most people end up enjoying their sessions. And it can help bring some peace and affirmation into your life.

Should I see a gt or regular therapist. I want to see a regular one.

That's your decision but why?

A GT would be trained to deal with your problems in ways a regular therapist may not. But a GT would also be competent to handle other issues as well.

Honey....you've been given a lot of good advice...but, the choice is yours to make...

See whom you feel comfortable with...

I personally choose a GT because I wanted to be on the fast track to HRT. I already knew that I was Transsexual ...I just wanted the validation from that letter and be handed my hormones...

But, in the big picture, the therapy did me a lot of good overall...Brought up a lot of other things that were buried...

Nothing that would stop my transition, just things that needed to be said..

Personally I think a regular therapist will use your money to train themselves about gender dysphoria - a waste of time and money.
