If You Were Buying A Wardrobe For 'you'....

...what would you buy? I'm probably not the only one (correct me if I'm wrong here) who's thought of this Q in the past: consider this an advice question for all (not just for me), but feel free to give your suggestions. I can't CD much at the mo (exams ) but I would like to know what there is to look forward to when I finish!

Any suggestions/ideas/clothes welcome...

I think this all comes down to personal tastes and where you would go (or pretend you are going) when you dress.

Some of my favorite outfits:

Nice tight pair of faded jeans and stretchy tank top or cap sleeved top with a scoop neck

Short skirts to show off my pantyhose clad legs

Anything pink

A little black dress

and of course high heel sandals for all of the above

I think you might try going to your neighborhood discount department store and check out their clearance racks on sale womens clothing. You can really save a lot of money on dresses, skirts,tops, etc.

And Goodwill or Salvation Army - I've found really great stuff there as well, and cheap.

And when I'm done with it I put it back in the donation box so someone else can enjoy it!

If I had the opportunity, and money to go out and shop for myself I'd buy skirts, tops, dresses, and some sexy lingerie of course. Also I love slips, so I'd get a big collection of full and half slips. I especially love the vintage styles.

A short skirt, a nice top, those forms I've been kicking around in my head, hair (hehe), and heels (I so want to learn heels), and maybe a nice sexy evening dress. I'm good in the lingerie department (for now) so thats not very high on my list; although, I am missing a pretty little frilly petticoat lol. So maybe add that to the list too!

@Adalia : A wedding dress is by no means "odd"! In my own mind a wedding dress is perhaps the ultimate of sexy clothing items.

I figure if a woman can fantasize about being a bride why not me besides every woman should have a wedding dress even a part-time woman like me who knows I might be one myself some day it just might be possible for a shy crossdresser to find someone willing to date and eventually marry him one never knows

I would buy lots of shoes and girly socks. I think my first out fit will be a nice skirt and top, heels and nylons and boy shorts for underwear.

I always prefer a dress with pretty lingerie underneath. A dress says "woman" more than any other. I would go for a a silk cocktail dress with a bustier top and layered bottom. At least 8 inches above the knee. Pari that up with thigh highs and black suede pumps, and you have the makings of the perfect outfit! I think a teddy underneath would be ideal.

I would agree with your idea. I would go with a nice dress with a top that really shows of your forms. Heels= a must
