And heres just one that shows alittle further out..

Also not wearing alot of make-up or anything so I'd really like some advice on what maybe I could do to help with passing!

Thanks in advance! :)

Well, Ellie.....

I'm gonna jump in here...ok?

First, I think that you have all the basics that you need....

You've got the face and you're slim..very good ...

Now, have you tried any makeup yet?

Maybe some eyeliner and mascara...lipstick...

You should try that....

And I think you have all you need to be passable visually...

But, don't forget...passing is way more than visual..attitude, mannerisms, movements, speach...

But, you'll have the looks...

Been trying on that for the past while.. seems to be going fairly decently.

I agree with Donna Jean, Ellie. You have wonderful facial features that HRT are going to do wonders with.

One thing that will help, too, is a more feminine pair of eyeglasses. That can make a big difference. Oh, and smile, hon! A smile can really accent your feminine features.

Wow, you look kinda like me in my female form before I cut my hair! You even appear to have similar glasses :P

I agree with Donna Jean as well. Perhaps trying a little make-up will help. I am not much of an expert in this area, though, so I can't recommend anything. ^^;

You look just like my friend! It made me jump.

I'm going to politely disagree about glasses advice-- they're just fine as they are. I wear glasses that are practically the same and --no matter what-- I get called a she. So glasses don't matter so much... and they're so expensive to change anyways.

You look great!

A lot of the sportswear ads you see in magazines will show everyday daytime makeup and give you a picture to go by. Also looking at exactly how the girls around you are made up at different times will help.

One of your greatest sources of instruction is a makeover at a makeup counter. Many of the women and girls here have done that and can give you advise on approach etc. The thing is -they are trying to sell you products and most have dealt with transwomen or cds before so most will be accepting.

Each person needs to find the colors that work best with their skin tones and hair color. What looks good on one person can look ghastly on another and it's just not possible to tell from pics what will work for you. It can get expensive fast buying products only to discover they transform you into a clown or a zombie when you get home. The one cardinal rule for everyone is-less is more. Start light and add slowly

Hope this was some help.

Really cute and pretty. All I can see is the brows that need just a little more feminine look-they're a little thick in the middle. Otherwise you really look good!

If I may...

I would like to generally comment on "passing". I know that "passing" is a very important subject for all. Passing as "female", passing as "male" are concerns that actually cause distress and even make us decide not to follow our dreams. The very thought that we do not pass is hard to take.

First, Mooell... you do pass... I can see your latter pictures, and viola... a little make up, your gentle skin, your soft picture.. yes you pass :)

There is something deeper to passing that everyone must understand. Passing as yourself. OK, passing as "female", passing as "male" is important, but passing as yourself is what grounds you :)

Even at work, my femininity exudes so much from myself that everyone notices. This is really good for me. Although, I present as male at work, no one buys it :) I am completely myself. It is my expectation that soon people at work will encourage me to transition :)

That is passing :)

Love

Brenda

The bottom one looks much better because you have a slight smile :). Maybe dress and watch your self in the mirror and take lots of photos and copy natural girls more. The top ones are still you just your a bit nervous I think :).

Have been doing that the past few months, given alot of consideration to this. :)

I can't see any major reason why I'd be really noticed, I've been observing alot of girls my age and rough height and build and somewhat copying their movements and habits. But the only way to REALLY find out is in practice and well thanks to a friend who is more than happy to stick about with me as I try it in public I'm going to try it in a few weeks or so.

Either way, about three weeks more to hone movements, poise and get a better hand at the make-up and I'll see how it goes.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!

Three reprimands in a certain time frame? It seems like they should drop off the calendar after a period of time. How long can they hold a reprimand on the calendar?   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Congratulations on getting the go ahead with HRT. I'm so ready for my wife to drop her opposition. As for the mood swings... I would look forward to them myself.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Three reprimands and they suspend attendance for a couple weeks.
    • Mmindy
Good for the other participant. What's involved in a reprimand? At our age, what are they going to do? Withhold snacks...   @BirdieI'm sorry you have to put up with such discrimination's. I'm proud that you're standing up for yourself.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
