Electrolysis And Teeth

This is just weird, I had electrolysis yesterday and it hurt a extra than usual at some points when it was like 3/4 of an inch below my lip. And then as I was going home, my teeth felt a bit tingly. When I got home it started feeling a bit painful - the lower front, the ones almost directly above the area that got treated and now today its gotten a bit painful, like its electrocuted or something. Has this ever happened to you? I have never had any issues with my teeth and this is really the first for me so im just wondering if theres some relation.

.

Welcome to the Playground, Ash...

I'm Donna Jean...

Have a seat and I'll get you a big plate of Sally's cookies and a hot cup of my hot coco made with genuine...uh....coco!

Now...I've had 65 hours of Electrolysis and I've never heard of such a thing happening ...

But, here's what to do...call the electrologist tomorrow and let them know what happened...they've been to school for all of this..maybe they will know what that is all about.

It's only a phone call, Hon....ok?

Good!

ill see her again in a day so I guess I should bring it up since she'll be working again on teh same area. i guess maybe she jsut hit a nerve or something hohoho so it is well somewhat possible then as jessie said and im atleast not imagining it hihihi.

i guess i do hope it is just that and its not actually the teeth there going bad ...

Ash I have not had this problem before either. I was going to say they might have hit a nerve too. Maybe they went a little to deep on a hair before zapping it. Be careful because this shouldn't happen.

Never experienced that.

Consider this however, there is one nerve that runs out the lower jaw. Dentists often numb this nerve to work on the lower jaw teeth. Numbing that nerve also will make your skin numb above the bottom edge of the jaw. So it isn't unreasonable to see some potential connection.

Also, if there was some past trauma or surgery in the general area, some really weird things can happen when it comes to nerves. Years after I had surgery on one part of my jaw I find I am extra sensitive to pain even though I have less general feeling.

On the other hand, there may even be a simpler explaination. If you found the work extra painful, is there any chance you were clenching your jaw? Perhaps unconciously? If you were clenching your jaw it is very possible for it to be achy later.
