Well I am attaching some pics of me (finally) I am really nervous about putting these up but obviously I cannot do this alone and really need all the help I can with passing and help in trying to build up more self-confidence. Makeup is still a problem for me which I am practicing more and more on but ANY advice would be greatly appreciated and welcome!!!!

Honestly, Emily, you look great already. I love the way your eyebrows arch, and you have a terrific smile.

I am not any sort of authority on makeup and hair, but I'll offer a couple of suggestions:

1. brush your hair over your ears a bit; I think that will feminize you more.

2. Some color on your cheeks, a little eyeliner, and a pale shade of lipstick will look nice.

3. I think you look better without the glasses.

Not much help, I know, but like I said, I'm an amateur.

Hi emily,

Nice pictures-you ave a killer smile!

You look very good already and like Carolyn Marie said you have a beautiful arch to your brow. I would thin it just a little bit more at the bottom of the peak of the arch and out to the tip though..

And her comment on the hair and makeup style was right on target. Wit hair-it can be a great tool for softening your face. a little volume helps there too. The kind you get from brushing your hair when you are bent at the waist so the inside gets fluffed some.

One thing most cis women do is find their best point or points and wear a little more or a little darker makeup there. Like your pretty eyes. Or your mouth to empasize your wonderful smile.

Thanks for the tips, I am actually getting my hair colored next week or so, so hopefully that will help me with some hair issues. I need to work more on my makeup for sure but this is really my first time doing makeup so there is a lot that I need to work on still. I did some work with my eyebrows but since I am not fulltime yet I have to be careful for personal issue still :-(

I think you look good.

I agree with whats been said already.

I would definitely recommend you brush your hair down, if your hair is long enough, it may tend to get in the way of your eyes, thats ok. If it covers your earrings thats ok too, they will still be seen.

Just relax and be your self (Easier said then done I know) Smile alot. You already have that down though!.

Best wishes

In the next week or so I am having my hair colored and also some new style I am thinking about, I think that will help a lot with my self-confidence. I know I really need to still work on a lot of my makeup, I found this one place that is close to me that does make-overs and also teaches proper makeup techniques so I am going to be doing that as well for more help. Sadly though I still have to be careful since I am not full-time yet but I am doing what I can right now until that day! (which literally will be the happiest day of my life!)

Let's see.....

Drastic? Extreme?

It needs a softer look...

Maybe fluffed up.... and down over your ears and forehead a bit?

I have been trying to get my hair to be softer but really not having any luck in that area? For me to try to maintain it right now and keep it under control I use a lot of hairspray and moose but I really do not like it since it looks 'caked' on which I hate, I know my hair needs work (well OK A LOT of work, lol) but any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated!!! Love you all!!!

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow

Hello we are The lake. So called because This One has not determined a name for oneself but has in a way created an environment to try out multiple names as different people. Currently Some of us use she/her pronouns and one uses he/him. We hope to learn more about being transgender and the intricacies involved. Once again it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and we hope to be of further help in the future.
