So, I've started playing around with make-up and I'm wondering if I'm doing it right. I like eye make-up alot, but I don't want to overdo it for everyday wear. Also, I'm wondering about my hair as well though I know it needs to be straightened up a bit.

Also, I think I should stick with my glasses. I feel my browline is too pronounced without them

You're definitely off to a good start! :) you have a sort of androgynous jaw bone structure, which is good. I've seen women that look like you, so you could pass if your attitude/mannerisms/voice are cool

As for the makeup - maybe don't line the entire eyes w/ the eyeliner and instead just do the outside corners closest to your ears to about the halfway point and then kind of blur it with a fine brush or your finger. I dunno... I'm no expert. Check out video tuts on youtube or just find a picture of a celebrity who looks how you want to look and try to match it

Dunno if you can trim/pluck your brows or not, but if you can be sure to do it from underneath and not do too much.. you could have a pretty awesome brow shape

Also... SMILE! :D when taking your picture think about how awesome it's going to turn out and be happy and you will look amazing in it. self-fulfilling prophecy or something ;) but yeah, smiling = girly apparently

Thanks! I do intend to pluck my eyebrows, though maybe just a bit at first.

I was smiling :(, or I thought I was anyway. My lips are bent downward, so when I feel like I'm smiling I guess I just look unemotional.

Posting pictures can be terrifying. I know, because taking pictures terrify me.

You are on your way hon :)

Let's see a smile next time :)

I should talk  I need to do the same thing :)

I think your hair is totally wrong for your face. It needs to be fuller and more feminine. Yes -you have a straight browline that needs eyeglasses to soften it up.

Your face is very angular - you may be one of those who does better with more weight on your bones.

Makeup tips? Have a professional show you what to do - see if you can arrange for a make-over. Be prepared to buy some product.

Zoe you are doing good for just starting out with make-up. I like your second picture with the glasses. I think they help bring the feminine look to your face more.

Don't worry about the smile because I did the same thing forever. I had no reason to smile so that was what I called a fake smile. Now that I am happier most of the time I try to smile more. It takes practice to open up your mouth a little with your smile but you will get it down.

Keep it up and you will be a pro smiling and with make-up.

I have to agree with Lizzy here.....

Angular face...and it will need some special attention...

A lot can be done with hair style and makeup....Hormones will amaze you, too...

A fer pounds couldn';t hurt...what's your height and wt.?

 Thanks for the tough crit everyone.

@Donna: I am 5' 11" 150 lbs. The weight all muscle(mostly in my legs) too so I think I may loose more weight when starting hormones. I would like to gain weight, but I think I'll wait until deciding to start hormones, since there is a better chance of the weight going where I want it :P

@Elizabeth: Do you have any suggestions for hairstyle? My hair is long enough to reach my shoulders(most what tied back in the pics), but having said that I'm not sure what sort of hairstyle fits my face. I'm having trouble finding my facial shape, since it seems to me that it changes shape depending on the angle of view.

Just a different opinion here but I like you better w/out the glasses. If you clean up the brows your brow line will look less and your beautiful eyes will draw the eye rather than your brow line. With glasses the dark line of the glasses emphasizes the brow line while making your great eyes less visible..

You can judge better when your brows are thinner.

And I agree your hair needs to be less slicked back and maybe feathered a bit around your face. It will soften and frame your face.
