I saw this post go across the board, this is so terrible.

How long will it take for humankind to universally recognize the value of an individual life, no matter how diverse ? I am not holding my breath.

Prayers to the family and friends of this loss.

There is no explanation, no reasoning this out.

It's just so dang pointless. Such a waste of life.

What did she do to deserve that fate? Just having the nerve to be alive, I guess.

There were, according to one list, 26 transpeople who were murdered in the last 12 months. She will

be number 27. May she rest in peace.

There have been too many instances lately where a LGBT person either takes their own life or killed. Why are people like this? What did any of these people do to deserve this? No wonder the government can't get a true number of how many of us are out there. There are too many that are afraid to come out.

I read this in the paper here in the UK, such a waste.

It is said that it was not a hate crime, however, it was also reported that the woman who pushed our sister had to be restrained by a witness.

My thoughts to her family and loved ones and to the train driver.

A gay friend told us about this yesterday.

It is a terrible thing to do:

  • A talented person is dead;
  • A tube train driver is probably in a state of severe distress (all railway people dread this kind of incident they can do nothing about it but often feel that they are to blame);
  • Thousands of travellers were inconvenienced;
  • The probable perpetrator has wasted her life.

Why?

We live in a crazy world. What kind of person tells someone a joke and then pushes her in front of a train? There are no words to describe that.

It has yet to be reported why her (trans) friend has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The only we've been told is that they were laughing prior to the incident! They're also holding the trans lady in a male prison. What craziness is this! The UK has policies to prevent this kind of thing but this lady seems to be in the middle of a giant legal mess. It makes me doubt that they have much evidence at all for arresting her even!

The Daily Mail is being completely useless with pronouns and names in reporting this. :( They also seem to think it's important to report that she worked as an escort etc. since the initial article. How very linked!! *grumbles*

( Feels his blood starting to boil)

I fought the Daily Mail was reputable?!

Seems, now they are just as sensationalist as the New York Post, or our 'Telegraph'.

Writing a whole load of crap, and we (the LGBTQi community) have to take the backlash!

There must be later reports on this I've missed, because she was initially described as a Human Rights lawyer...nor did I see any suggestion her attacker was also TG?

As for the Daily Mail being "reputable", I must have been very busy that week!

Horrible, horrible, horrible!

Tragic... just tragic. Clearly, Sonia was loved by so many people, even by those who knew her trans status. Most, I am sure, knew her only as Sonia.

What was most disturbing to me was the following...

A 34-year-old woman, Nina Kanagasingham, of Chichele Rd, Cricklewood has been charged with murder. Police said yesterday that the death is not being treated as a hate crime.

Why?.....

OMG, I have tears running down my face after reading this! This is horrible! Why can't we just accept that we are all human beings, not a gender or role. Point is, everyone is equal in god's eyes. Some people want to call me a freak ,The white rupaul(yeah,haven't heard that a million times), or whatever. The reason some people make fun of all of us is because they are weak, and we are strong. Think they could rock a set of 5 inch heels and not break an ankle? I think not. Women who hate on me are just jealous of how well my make up looks. I date m2f, f2m, men, and women. I'm an equal oppturnity type. Love is love, only the heart know what it wants!! Be cool peeps, hang in there. It gets better! -Christine Marie

Some people are just evil and no rime or reason to their hatred, sadly there will always be people out there like this one and things will never chance. I am not trying to be pessimistic but it has always been like this in one way or another. I feel so bad though for the victim and her friends/family, she deserved better then this.

      I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

      It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

      I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

      Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

      Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

      Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

      Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

      Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

      I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

      I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

      @Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

      I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
      Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
