Within my body

There stirs a feeling

Which I can’t fully describe

Yet embracing it

Provided the missing piece

I have been looking

Yet didn’t realize it

Until it happen.

Breaking down barriers

Erected over my lifetime

Of pain

And personal betrayals

By others.

Like the Rosetta Stone

Providing the keys

Decoding my own mysteries

So long held in denial

By a perplexed young soul

Such as mine.

Even now

As I enter my mid-life

Find myself

Grasping for answers

To these mysteries

Which none exist.

Like trying to describe

Colour to a person

Whom never

Has seen the light of day.

Maybe

Some day

I will understand.
