Just Like You

[Flint]

The master showman

Stands tall

With a mask that covers his face

Ironic because he calls us all a fake

Yet he has to hide under a masquerade

He stands on the stage

Spreads out his arms

And with enthusiasm

He declares us a “freak of nature”

We are revealed from under the shroud

Here we sit

As they look upon us

With curiosity

Laughter blooms

As more people gather in the room

They call it entertainment

I call it bullying

Bullying can lead to an early tomb

Just think before you speak

They used to be an embryo in a womb

Just like me, just like you

Wow, Matthias, your poetry speaks volumes to those, whom are willing to listen to the message, which it cries out. Sadly, not everyone will hear hear your plead for tolerance. For too mant years, I was that victim of hatred, which bullying is.
